Unfortunately, the old one got severely sun-bleached and was starting to fray, so I had to retire it. I already like this one more than the other one, even when it was new. First of all, I like the material. It's light, and the colors are vibrant. This flag is on a flag pole mounted to the side of my house at an angle, and its weight allows it to wave under a gentle breeze. I very much like this flag. So far, so good. It is still very new and hopefully hold up well over time. The manufacturer does state the things I must do for it to last. I must admit, I didn't do this with previous flags, and they failed miserably with rips from the wind at where they have been installed. There is a lot of wind in the current location. I love American flags. This one is ok. I like the size for my pole. It fits better than the 3x5 or 4x6 for my pole. That being said, the flag string unraveled the first day I got it and there was a clump of white thread flickering at the free end of the flag. The material seems very sturdy but the seam came apart on the edge. I didn’t return it because the rest of the flag did not unravel (eventually all the flags need to be replaced, but I was not good out of the gate). I would buy it again but I would be less lazy and send it back to replace immediately., but I just didn’t have the time. But I will say this, the flag is still holding together even thought the string came off the edge…and is still holding together. So in short I’d say good materials, but they need to figure out how to keep the free edge from unraveling. ... show more
