This RC Jeep has an interesting design, especially with its automatic doors that swing open at the press of a button and LED lighting that projects the letter "G" from the doors. The attention to detail in the design is impressive. However, from a functional RC perspective, it falls short. It's relatively slow, the included 18650 battery has a short runtime, and the turning radius is quite poor. While it looks cool and is fun to show off, it lacks playability. The automatic doors , the lights that come on when using the automatic doors are so realistic the boys loved it it plays music, the back opens with a slight twist of the spare tire so the boys can fill the back also.

    • Pretty cool. Pretty fast. Pretty good toy.
This is a great RC Jeep for kids … of all ages. It’s made of pretty tough plastic, so it will take some use and abuse without cracking. The rubber tires and shock absorbers (Yes, shock absorbers) make for a pretty smooth ride on most any inside surface, although, not surprisingly, it gets pretty bumpy outside. The outside buttons on the steering wheel control the direction – forward or reverse, as well as left or right. The other smaller buttons allow you to control whether the doors open at the press of a button or when you wave your hand in front of the windshield. There’s also one to turn the sound/music on and off, and one that is the demo mode to show all the things it does. (It was in demo mode for the video.) The headlights and tail lights work when it is in motion and, when the doors open, the letter G is projected below in a blueish color. Even the back tailgate opens manually so other things can be stored inside. I was surprised at just how fast it goes, but, because it has a pretty wide turning radius, be prepared to bump into things unless you have a good-sized space to use it. It comes with a USB charging cable and 2 batteries, which is nice for extended use, and the batteries go from drained to charged in about 90 minutes. Looks great but only lasted a week of occasional play. Now it won’t even move even with a full charge. My son is so disappointed.
