Very good VFD Spindle setup for CNC and router tables at a great price.

I used this kit to use in a custom router table that I built because spindles are much quieter and have great speed control. I opted for water cooled so sawdust wouldn't get into the motor. The VFD programming can be a little challenging if you don't have much experience setting them up. There are tons of variables that need to be programmed but I was able to find some helpful YouTube videos. Once set up, it works great! I had a similar setup in my old CNC router and it works great for that, too. Can't go wrong with the price... A good 3HP router would cost more than this. One thing to keep in mind, it does come with a ton of collets but they are all metric. I bought a set on amazon with 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2" fairly cheap. (I run 1/2" almost exclusively in my router)

Everything worked great. Easily install on my onefinity elite. I used an aftermarket mount. Water pumped great. Stayed cool. Plenty of power for being 110 volt.

Bad vfd x2

Update, requested and received replacement. I have done a LOT of learning about configuring these drives. I am a manufacturing engineer and have learned and set up much more complex equipment despite none being a vfd. I am now confident in saying the first and second vfds are bad. The first will not accept analog controls from the input terminals. The second has a bad current sensor and errors out before it even makes a full rotation. Ultimately i do not trust this equipment at all and will be returning it. Support takes days to respond, never read the first email, and keeps suggesting i try things i mentioned trying in my first email. This is my first vfd setup, so it’s quite possibly user error, but after hours and hours of scouring forums and resetting parameters at least 8 times, the spindle runs using the onboard pot, but changing pd001 and pd002 to 1, and swapping the j1 jumper to vi, the spindle stays at 120hz regardless of voltage applied to the vi input. Seller was contacted and responded with an unrelated fix, to change pd002 back to 0, which just disables use of the fwd terminal to start and stop. I tried this anyway to confirm, to no avail. Hopefully the replacement is fully functioning.

Okay, I believe this is a GREAT PRODUCT, for the price - Only one caveat...

I have been running this inverter / spindle for the last four months, on an almost daily basis. It has not failed me so far, and if it lasts a full year, it will have been well worth what I paid. The only thing I wish they would have included - WRENCHES for the collet and spindle.

Cuts through aluminium like a boss.

So quiet. It's actually so quiet you hear everything but the motor. The pump is quiet as well. Absolutely do not forget to set your frequency to 400 on the inverter before running and with this machine long hair, loose clothes, nose ring chains,( Prince Albert's are particularly catastrophic), and the like secured. Since it's often on a desk and you may be sitting even it gets reached over more than most so all those precautions like safety glasses as well are doubly important. Be safe. Enjoy.

Vfd, spindle, and spindle mount correct and great product, but manual not very helpfull. Water pump and hose correct and good product. Advertised 14 collets, got 7. I think each collet takes care of two sizes all well and good except got two 6-5s and no 3-4. Not what they advertised. It was advertised as 14 seperate sizes

Good Kit

If you have wiring experience and are familiar with this type of product, you will find it easy to setup. As far as the wiring, just follow the included instruction sheet, it's was easily spelled out and I had no problem understanding what to do. I had to do some soldering, but thats to be expected with a product like this. Before I got everything running, I had to do a factory reset of all the VFD parameters & set them manually based on the included easy to follow guide included with the kit. I reached out to ask a a question and received a response within a couple hours. I'm pleased with it.

I was a little upset at first as the nameplate had 50 hz for the Input voltage which differs from the product information that claimed it supported 48-63 hz. I posted a question and got a good answer back from mfg. " Dear Friend, i'm sorry to hear that, i understand your confused, the parameter label on the VFD, that is a standard frequency, the VFD can be use 45-60Hz 110V is no problem, as you know, your home have many household appliances, the label shows is 110V, but the actual voltage range used may be is 100-130V, the VFD's frequency is same as this reason, so you can connection this VFD to your 110V 60Hz, and test your Spindle motor kit, if all ok, pls let me know , if you have any questions,pls feel free to contact me. looking forward to your reply sorry again - KUKU Tech customer service team" Product works fine no issue with getting spindle to spin. This is pretty sophisticated device and I have seen much bigger sized ones used in industry and am impressed with how much tech you get for the money.
