Been using this for a Carplay screen in an old jeep for a few months now. Work perfectly except for the fact that the gears in the tilt mechanism aren't very strong, the screen would slowly angle down. I fixed this issue with wedging a small screw in the hinge and now it doesn't move.

    • Great suction mount for Garmin GPS units
I’m a full time RVer and I’ve been using my Garmin RV 760 GPS unit for several years. I’ve gone through the original mount and several after market types, and all have worked by suctioning to the interior of the windshield. All have eventually failed when the rubber pad of the suction mount loses it’s grip and the GPS unit falls onto the dash. This mount is a little different because the rubber pad came with a highly sticky base which would probably support the GPS unit by itself, but when you engage the suction function, this mount is very well adhered to the windshield. I’ve had it mounted for over a month and it shows no sign of losing suction. I live in Alaska, so it will be interesting to see how the suction holds up when it’s 20 below this winter.
