Got this spacer so when I am doing big projects. This thing will save me lots of time from having to use a measuring tape all the time. And when you are by yourself it's kind of tough to keep using the measuring tape over and over again. if you are a framer you know this to be so. This thing has saved me time and hassle and I believe it's worth every penny. Very well made ...welded and sturdy. I will use be using this for small jobs also just because of the convenience.

Yes you can measure, but if you're building a wall to stand up, this saves time and makes for more accurate spacing vs marking center with a tape measure. It snugly fits 2x4’s in and actually helps keep the boards from kicking over when using a nail gun which is a time saver from smacking them with a hammer after they move. I wish it had square corners and an actual measurement etched in it to use as a small stick measure. Pretty simple design and fairly light weight considering it's made from sturdy materials.

I do a fair amount of DIY projects around my home and gentleman's farm. This tool fit my 2x lumber just fine and appears to be heavy duty enough to do the job. Most of the illustrations show it being used with 2x4 lumber, but I was playing with it using some 2x6's and can't see why it would not work with them also. I have to figure out what my next project will be so that I can give it a real workout. Very pleased I got this.

There are all sorts of these stud framing guides flooding the market. They all have the same basic function, but slightly differing designs. This one has a pretty good design. It hold the studs firmly, though it isn't all that deep that it'll take the twist out of a stud. It does help save time in laying them out and even with nailing them in, since it helps hold them in place. As well, if using a framing nailer, it helps keeping your hands out of the way. As shown in the pictures, sometimes you might actually want two of these, and the assumption is that you're creating perfectly square walls. This isn't always the case in real life where you mught have situations where the studs aren't all going to be the exact same length. For most situations, it'll be fine.

This is a must have. This cuts some much time off of laying out walls, floor joist, and rafters. Seems a bit thin but after using it it holds up great. Very ridged and tough! Perfect 16" on center. Get the first board set and go to town. Will be getting a 2nd so I will have one for each end. Why did it take so long for this to come out.!

I just used this to construct a few 16 inch on center walls. It is very well made and simple to use. It is very precise and allows perfect stud placement without having to measure every one. As a footnote, it is even easier to use if you have two of them. Assuming you have two people working on the project. One working on the top, and the other working on the bottom.
