As soon as I showed the pigeons how to use it, they were very comfortable going in. Just be careful, the hawks will use it as well. Have had 2 separate instances of hawks in my pigeon coop. I have since put a blocker in front of it when all the birds are inside

Very well built, easy to install. While this is intended for pigeons, I am using for chickens. I have hens who decided to lay under the coop which is built in such a way I cannot jack it up to see if someone is underneath. Concerned that a hen might be broody under there, I didn't want to board it up completely. I installed this so any hens could get out but not go back under the coop. Works great!! All hens are now out and accounted for. I will use this again in the future. ... show more

Don’t buy. This swinging door is garbage. My homing pigeons broke the springs that hold the vertical bars to the bottom horizontal bar in one day. Good idea, terrible design, poor execution. It’s easier to make one yourself out of some scrap wood.
