  • Impressive timepiece for a great price
While I purchased this as a gift for my father, I did give the watch a thorough inspection before gifting it. It is a striking watch, great looking, and simple in its design. As Laco was one of the five original manufacturers of the flieger watches, this watch feels like a little piece of history. The band is substantial, quality leather, the lume is great. The display back, while not authentic, provides a view of the Miyota movement. It certainly isn't as decorated as a high end Swiss movement, but for this price, I wouldn't expect that. My father was delighted with the gift, and even commented on how easy the watch is to read at night (thanks to the Superluminova!). I may just invest in a Laco timepiece for myself as well!!! ... show more

  • my very first german made watch and I love it.
Very nice watch, I love the color of the face, the size, the numbers are very clear, the luminous hands are nice and the swipe of the seconds hand is marvelous. It's not heavy and the band is made of sturdy leather, altough it's a bit too long on my wrist since I use it in the last hole and I can fit a finger between the strap and my wrist. This is not a game changer fact, but be aware of the fact of maybe changing the strap for a tighter one. The box where it comes is big and have a zipper around, bigger than I've thought it would be. ... show more

  • Great looks, but one or two niggles
Having lived with the watch for a week here are my impressions. - Great looking watch on the wrist - Super clean design and very easy to read - Leather strap is high quality and looks very sharp On the negative side - The automatic movement is a bit noisy and feels cheap - Power reserve is pretty short, around 24hrs - Lume dims quickly - Strap is very long. I have a 7.5” wrist, and I have to buckle using shortest hole, meaning the tail of the strap extends too long. I’m going to buy a replacement that is shorter. EDIT: I bought a new black strap from Laco (pictured), and it looks and wears MUCH better! So, all in all, I like the watch, but thinking maybe I should have bought one of the Lacos higher up the range, to benefit from a quieter movement, with longer power reserve. ... show more

  • Great Watch
I did a ton of research before buying this watch. If your wrist is smaller than 7 inches, you may have to punch additional hole in band. Leather band is stiff on arrival but just a little work softens it up fine. The face is super clean, with barley off white/green eliminated numbers and hands. The Miyota automatic movement seems fine and the brush metal is very good. I like that it's sapphire not mineral glass. This $279 price is best I seen to date, seems these watches can fluctuate higher sometimes. I personally think that unless getting the bead blasted case, blued hands, and ETA automatic movement, no Laco 1925 on face are a must for you at almost three times the cost, this is whole lot of watch for the money from one of the original 3 watch companies who made flieger watches. This should also cost less to service with its miyota movement over Swiss. If money is no option check out Stoya and if your kids going to college is of no interest to you, check out IWC. The Stoya has a 40mm for smaller wrist as well or you can check out the Laco Osaka at 36mm that is floating around $275 to $300 and looks exactly like the watch being reviewed. In another review on Amazon a customer made a personal choice to return this watch because this company made watches for the German airforce in WW2. While I respect that person's decision, I hope that person has also returned every product in their life made by GE, GM/Ford, Bayer, Hugo Boss, IBM, Siemens, etc. War is big business, this is just a watch company making observer/navigator time pieces. I preferred the A version of this style watch for how clean it looks. If you believe simplicity is the height of sophistication, this is a good choice. ... show more

  • Lots of bang for the buck
This is the perfect flieger for me. I have several watches in my collection, from the affordable to the very high end. I found that a flieger doesn't get an enormous amount of wrist time. So it hard to justify an IWC for what little wrist time this would likely get. I also wasn't excited by big onion crowns. I found this one and thought it was offered a lot of bang for the buck. The Miyota movement is currently running +4 seconds per week. It is a good size that wears well on my 7.25" wrist. The lume is exceptional too. I swapped out the horrid factory strap for a much more comfortable and better looking Hirsch and suddenly this thing is getting more wrist time than I thought it would. This is mostly a weekend watch for me, as I'm in a suit most weekdays. My weekends have traditionally been dominated by a Breitling and a Glycine. After a couple of months, I find myself reaching for this Laco more than the other two on weekends now. ... show more

  • Beautiful watch that Does not keep time accurately and needs to be calibrated
I love how the watch wears and looks, its very very annoying that the watch is running fast by a minute a day. Its as if the watch was never calibrated by the factory and now this new watch needs a service to get it to run accurately.

  • Mi Flieger favorito
Empecé a leer sobre la marca a raíz de un video, me empezó a interesar y hasta que lo compré, me encantó, la pulsera es de excelente calidad y la lectura es muy fácil con su amplio dial

  • First legit watch...so happy I pulled the trigger!
As beautiful as advertised. Solid watch, looks great, glow in the dark accents are sooo cool (you do have to let it be exposed to enough light though to make it pronounced) leather breaks in easy and is hefty and great (only thing is my wrist is a bit small even for last hole so might need some minor adjustment, but I do like my watch a bit tight so that's my preference). Even better they package is this thing so well. I love the leather case and even that comes in a nice box. Class all around. ... show more
