    • If you don't need to make too many turns
If you don't need to make more than one or two turns this works great. If you are needing to make more you'll need to use something to help guide. A 12-gauge wire or similar will most likely do the trick.

    • Upscales video, not true resolution
There are a bunch of these on Amazon in a variety of prices. Just by the cheapest one you can find. They all do the same thing, work the same way, and I'm fairly certain are probably made by one factory. Some of them come with accessories. Some of them come with an LED light that has eight segments, six segments, four segments. Get the rigid cable one for sure. The lamp non-rigid cable is virtually useless. They all have an app so that you can see the video on your phone either through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. They all have fairly basic slightly crummy photos and video. This one in particular has a decent LED light, a rigid cable, comes with accessories, and claims a quite high resolution. The claimed resolution is not native. They have taken something quite low and ballooned it up. That is not to say the picture quality is bad. It is just basic. You are not going to be able to see things and great detail. But it works like it says and suited what I needed it for. But any kind of trickery is a definite loss of star. ... show more

    • Cool, versatile and useful gadget
I personally have used this camera with an iPhone and works totally fine. At first I had my doubts that it would recognize the device, but I didn't have any problems. It already has adapters to connect to Android devices, which I haven't done. In case you need a larger display, you can connect to a tablet, either iPad or Android tablet. It has a very good video quality, the app allows you to take pictures and video, which are very nice features. Some things I like about this device is that it is not that bulky as others that already include a display, because your phone/tablet becomes the display. And it doesn't require any batteries, it takes the power from your device as well. The only thing that was not very intuitive was the light brightness. It is controlled by a switch in the camera, I was expecting to control this within the app. The app has all the needed features, however it's not very intuitive, there's room for improvement in future releases. You get what you pay for, the camera is the same quality as my old middle school iPod camera. Still handy for needing to see in tight spaces.     • Made my wiring a breeze
I was wiring my tv through the wall and for some reason the cables were not going through so I bought this to take a look inside the wall, first of all the quality is really good comparing to the lens size and it was really easy to setup on the phone, just install the app and you are good to go. I found out the person who did my drywall installation puts multiple plastic bags inside my wall instead of insolation and they didn't bother to clean up before patching it, fortunately the camera came with multiple tools, one was a hook which I used to pull the plastic bags out of the wall, after removal I could easily pass the cables. This camera is fantastic. I bought it for helping wiring through the wall. This is a life saver! The goose neck is flexible but allows you to shape and direct. With the cameras help, I was able to do the wiring without damaging the dry wall much. This no extra repairs. I can imaging how useful it could be when you do other repairs and need to inspect some places that are deep and inaccessible to your eyes. Highly highly recommend. ... show more
