The temperature here was 9 degrees this morning, and 0 this morning. The ground is frozen and I'm not planning on installing till it's warmer. But I've used products similar to this and am confident I will be pleased with this set. They are sturdy and will be easy to install once things thaw out a bit. The portion that sticks in the ground is long, and is longer than the above-ground part. These are shorter than the similar product I installed to keep the dog from lifting his leg on the air conditioner. These are more the size you would use to keep bunnies from breaking through under your fence and driving the same dog crazy. There are 14 pieces, each 17 about inches long for 20 feet. We've had an explosion of rabbits getting into our fenced yard and the grass is literally carpeted in rabbit poop. While that might be great fertilizer for the grass, it isn't great for our dogs who are enjoying their disgusting poop snacks way too much. These metal fence sections aren't very tall, they only sit about 6 inches high when installed in the ground. However, they are very useful around the yard as a barrier to prevent digging under your fences. They were VERY easy to install, with the legs pushing right into the ground along my walkway. There were plastic zip ties included which was a nice touch, however I ended up not using them as the individual panels stand up perfectly on their own. I like these come with zip ties instead of hooks like others I’ve gotten so it’s easier to just clip them together once in place. I’ve found the hooks can be tricky so I appreciate these are with zip ties instead.
