Features

  • FAST & POWERFUL A 2-stroke engine with a maximum output of 13.2kW and 18hp, and a maximum speed of 5500rpm, provides you with unparalleled speed. The streamlined design of a 8'' three-blade propeller can reduce water resistance and provide stronger power during operation.
  • SELECTED MATERIAL Lightweight and sturdy aluminum alloy, combined with spray painting technology, provides excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance, shock resistance, deformation resistance, and other properties. You can use it with confidence in fresh water and salt water.
  • EASY TO OPERATE The throttle lever directly controls acceleration and steering. The step-less speed regulation allow you to easily adjust the running speed, combined with simple gear shifting (forward, neutral, or reverse), bringing you a more comfortable and convenient user experience.
  • LOW NOISE The large muffler above can isolate most of the noise, making the sound of the machine running around 80 decibels, allowing you to hear other movements on the water and remain vigilant.
  • LARGE FUEL TANK & FUEL-EFFICIENT The external fuel tank of the motor can hold 6.34 gallons of fuel, supporting long-term operation. An efficient carburetor burns fuel more fully, with a fuel consumption rate of 1.18gal/h not only saving fuel but also reducing expenses.

  • Only had 2 months
Bought this motor in August only took it out a handful of times. Now it early October and we are having carb issues. We have reached out to Hangkia company and never received a response. I attached the email that was sent. Motor was broke in correctly. Hello, I purchased a new 18 horsepower Hangkai outboard engine in early August 2024. I bought this engine for my Canada fishing trip we go on annually. I broke this engine in by the book with the correct break in procedures and it ran great the whole week. I have since taken this engine out a couple of times here in September on the lake around home and it left me stranded over the weekend. Fuel was pouring out of the engine like the float was stuck and it would not run. I believe that issue is resolved, but the engine still struggles to idle. I checked the cylinder compression and we have 70 psi in each cylinder. We do have spark to each spark plug. I've also installed brand new spark plugs in the engine and it still struggles to idle. It is very disappointing as I have only owned this engine for a month now. My question here is, is there anything your team can do for me since this engine is still practically brand new? Please let me know as I am not sure which way to turn at this point. Thank you, have a great rest of your week! ... show more

  • Great bang for the buck
I bought the 18HP for a Newport Catalina inflatable that I also purchased off Amazon. This is a great, low cost motor that so far has performed very well! Comparable Mercury, Yamaha or other big brands cost 3-4x as much as this motor, so for our particular situation this is a great option. The performance is great and with 6 people on our boat we can get close to 20mph on the water. Faster with fewer people. The motor DID NOT come with gear oil in the gearbox. I discovered this fact via a YouTube video and sure enough it was empty. No big deal to fill up, but aside from a very small sticker on the bottom of the shaft, there was not indication anywhere - including in the manual - that it needed oil prior to operation. Thankfully I discovered this before my first start-up and it was a non-issue, but I easily could have overlooked this and ruined the motor. My state requires outboard motors to be registered along with the boat, which requires a dealer bill of sale for the motor. Thus far I have not been able to get a response from Hangkai to obtain this documentation, so keep that in mind depending on where you live. I'm hopeful they will provide a solution but we shall see. Otherwise, so far it's been fantastic and I would think that with proper regular maintenance and care it should last many years. Don't forget to break it in per the manual! ... show more

  • No water coming out of outlet
This thing will not pump water, and now we have to pay for shipping to return it. We paid for shipping to get it here, that's bs, be very careful ordering from this company.
