I'm 5ft 10in and 215lbs. I started roller skating last year and wanted to skate outside, but I'm 36 and wanted to ensure no bad injuries after watching my husband break his arm and dislocate his shoulder at the skate park. I was hesitant to buy these because I'm bigger then the average woman, but they are SO COMFY and fit amazing. They have the memory foam squish feel on the inside, and hard plastic outsides. I've wiped out plenty with no ill effects, and the pads are still fine. I'm not afraid to try new tricks bc I know falling won't hurt. Soak them in soapy water to clean and air dry. Buy these and go get you some exercise honey. I feel so much happier and healthier now that I spend time moving my body having fun in the sunlight. It's been great for mental health, and my hubby and I are closer because we go to the skate park together daily. We go more them the children lol.

I got the Large, based on my measurements. They fit the circumference of my leg, but the actual pads are gigantic. Additionally, they force a major bend at your knees. I know all knee pads do this, but this is the most extreme variation I've come across. I included a picture of my leg when the pads are in the most neutral position. Pictured is my Bonts Large knee pads, which I like a lot more. The forced bend is less dramatic, and they are still incredibly cushioned and and well fitted. Also wish I could buy the pads individually, as I need different sizes for different body parts.

This a is a great set of pads. They run true to size, use the chart to check your measurements. I am 5’4” 125lbs athletic builds. The sm/med set fits me with room to adjust. So it could work for someone bigger or smaller than me. I get the most use out of the wrist guards since I have the bad habit of trying to catch my falls. Need to keep practicing safety falls.

Getting back into skating after a very long time, I didn't realize at first that certain pads were designed to support the fall of different weights, felt pretty silly for that, since I'm on the heavier side my old ones weren't cutting it. I was worried they were gonna be too big, but I think my knees are pretty happy I sized up. I have an old knee injury that doesn't do well with impact, but falling on these feels like I'm landing on a nice thick pad, doesn't hurt at all, it's lovely. The curve on the knee pads is a nice reminder to bend my knees too, but it does make doing things that require my legs to be straight a bit difficult, not impossible tho. I like that these are the sleeve kind, it makes them more comfortable for longer use times. The wrist guards have saved my hands too many times to count now, but I do need to adjust them too sit off center because of how I catch myself, idk if anyone else has that issue with wrist guards. Overall, I love these! Highly recommend, especially for people on the heavier side or those who have old injuries like me (I'm not a professional tho, make sure you're not making your injuries worse!). Definitely gonna buy another pair when it's time!

Ok so the elbow and wrist pads are fine but I feel like the knee pads are SO bulky. I mean they are supposed to be bulky to a point, I get that but dang. I asked my friends to send me pictures of their (different brand) knee pads and they most definitely did not look like this lol!! I got a lg/xl. I can't down size or they would be way too tight around my leg. They seem great quality, I have not fallen with them yet to say whether they prevent any broken bones or anything but I just wanted to post what these look like on just to let other people see the watermelon sized knee pads.
