Pretty straightforward review on a product that does exactly what you ordered it to do. We need to update our boat winch so when I saw this one at this price point, I thought we should give it a try. I like the fact that it's a metal cable rather than a rope which tends to wear out quicker when dealing with wet conditions. There isn't much assembly required, simply put the handle on than mount it to your trailer. We haven't mounted it yet, but the holes will line up perfectly and they provide the bolts and nuts to place it on the trailer. If you are looking for a trailer winch that works as it's supposed to at a fairly good price, I would look no further than this one because I don't think you will be disappointed. ... show more

I'll be using this for hanging/skinning deer so I'll never approach the load limit, but this will make it a lot easier than getting out the "come-along", straps, ropes, etc. every year. This should be more than sufficient and durable enough for that purpose. Plating seems decent enough to keep it from rusting installed on the wall of my barn. Very happy with this. ... show more
