  • Complete set of basic non professional tools
This is a very complete set of commonly needed tools for the person who has an occasional need for tools. It is important to keep in mind that these are not professional grade tools, and appreciate them for what they are, which is an affordable set of basic functional tools for the apartment dweller or homeowner who infrequently needs to make a minor repair or hang a picture. A set of professional grade tools that included everything in this set would cost 10 - 20 times what this set costs. For what it is, the set is a bargain. They come in a space saving hard case which keeps them organized and ready for use without having to spend more time looking for that one tool than the actual task itself takes. This set would make a great gift for the college student, mechanically inclined teenager, or anyone else who likes to do things themselves, but hasn’t yet spent years accumulating a full set of tools. I would have very much appreciated a set like this when I was in school and couldn’t afford to buy my own tools. ... show more

  • A Affordable Option for Basic Repairs
My husband worked in construction for 48 years. He started when he was 15 years old and did it until he was 63. These tools were not something he would ever have been OK with purchasing because they’re not as adorable as someone who is doing construction. Every day would need, but after he passed away last year, my son-in-law was helping me sell things because I was left with no income. I didn’t realize that he had sold literally every screwdriver, wrench and hammers along with all of my husbands saws. Don’t get me wrong. I knew he was selling the things for me, but my husband had a trailer full of tools and because I was selling the trailer he found someone to take everything in it. That was a good thing because without the trailer we had nowhere to put it. So my point is, I just ordered this for basic household things and I think it will do just fine for those things. Everything is in a nice hard shell case and it’s a lot. I used to do a lot of crafting and quite a few of the tools would’ve been perfect for many of my projects. Personally, I’m glad I ordered it and I don’t think I really need anything more than this because my husband was the contractor not me. If I had to have any major repairs done, I would have to hire someone. These are a great set for someone who’s just got their license and their first car or a new homeowner. If you’re looking for a budget option for simple repairs like I was then I would recommend this. If you’re a carpenter like my husband was then I recommend getting better tools. They cost more but they last longer. Anyone who’s been doing carpentry for a while already knows this. I say it because over the years I’ve seen my husband training a lot of young guys who were just starting out in the construction business and thought that they could get away with inexpensive tolls. You’ll just end up spending more money replacing them if you don’t get high quality tools and while they may cost more in the beginning overtime, they will pay off. I have a grandson who got his first car a year ago. Another one will be getting his license in a few months. These tools are something that would make a great gift for guys like them. They are a good beginner set. ... show more

  • Basic tools and lots of them
First thing you should know: this is not the kind of tool set your contractor would use. He'd probably scoff at the quality. But the quality and quantity are ideal for anyone who just needs an occasional tool to accomplish an occasional repair. This box has nearly everything you'd need and everything gets its own little slot, which means you never have to go searching for the extra small Phillips head screwdriver (it's over there on the right) or the tape measure, down there on the left). It even comes with a small voltage tester, which seemed to work when I tried it out. You get drill bits, pliers, hammer, multiple screwdrivers, and lots of other stuff. When I was ready to toss the shipping box into the recycling, I reached into the toolbox, picked out the box cutter, and made quick work of it--then put the box cutter back into its slot (can you tell that I really like there's a place for everything and everything's in its place?). The only other basic tool I could think of that you might want that isn't in the box is a level. Great little kit and an excellent value. ... show more

  • Probably one of the coolest things I've ever gotten for myself
Layman here, so take this with a grain of salt, but this looks like it has basically everything. Screwdrivers, tips, a measuring tape, blades, and various other tools that I don't even know the names for. There are Allen wrenches ranging in size, from large to tiny, including sizes I didn't even know Allen wrenches existed in. My only concern is that the tools do not always stay in their specified slots, and things tend to shift around and fall when I open the toolbox up - a bit dangerous, considering the presence of multiple sharp items, and it makes closing the box a bit annoying because I have to figure out how to hold things in place. Nothing that can't be fixed with tape, though, or a different container. All in all, pretty comprehensive, and comes with a warranty to boot. A great gift for yourself, or for the fixer-upper in your life. ... show more
