The strings don’t actually play. It’s really a children’s toy but when you touch the strings it electronically plays music on its own. I actually bought it because I have a neighbor who’s always complaining so I bought it as a joke, but I’m probably gonna give it to someone who has a two or three year-old infant, but it definitely served its purpose. I had a lot of laughs using it with My Neighbor.

This toy violin should be at Dollar store and cost 1 dollar. This toy makes no sound and is made of terrible quality. The bow has one string and the actual strings on the violin unwind as soon as you touch them. My product was sent in a torn dented box that was obviously used.

My 3 year old begged me for a violin, so I was a little disappointed that this made absolutely no sound at all. It's a very cute violin, but makes no sound I had to update my review.. You're supposed to put batteries in the back. It actually does make noise, like an automated violin sound whenever the bow touches the strings. So overall I'm happy with my purchase!

My classical music loving three year old love this! We've had it for three months now and holds up well. Gave it one less start as the strings came loose and it was quite the feat to restring it.

My kids have a great time with it, but it reeeeeally needs a volume button. AND an on/off button Or just lower the volume altogether. This thing is unreasonably loud and the only way to turn it off is to take a battery out.

There is not a way to turn it off. Every time the strings are touched the sound is on. It would be better with a off button. However, it worked well for what I needed. Looks very real.

Ordered by mistake, it was a cheap toy violin. Went to return it and it charged me $7 for a box I didn’t need! You won’t get your full refund. Don’t make the same mistake as me! Make sure you want a cheap violin toy that your kid will only play with once or twice that you can’t get your full refund on if you order this item.
