    • Careful battery can explode when attaching wires !!

very seldom do I take the time to write a review... They make note in instructions not to cause a spark around the battery well when you place the connector for the wire to the battery it arks dramatically which could cause an explosion of the battery. Never seen this before on any Other item... The least they need to do is put a separate switch on it, so you can turn it on after WIRES are connected. Second of all, they claim it’s a carbon fiberglass shaft. It’s not it’s aluminum. The speed control doesn’t even have a detent in between Forward and reverse, Causing it to easily have the occupant fall off the front of the boat when you’re using it on the stern. Also, the picture shows an updated spring release which they do not have they have an old one which is very difficult to use. The two bladed prop causes the boat to make a lot more noise and does not move it in the speed it should. picked up a Newport 55 pound thrust electric trolling motor don’t like the idea that’s not brushless, but it’s a lot quieter and actually faster than the supposedly 150 pound thrust piece of junk. Don’t Waste your money on this thing it’s not worth it. I took a chance and I lost thank goodness for Amazons, Awesome return policy, otherwise we wouldn’t know if this stuff works or not.     • Gutless, shuts off when attempting full throttle, falls apart

When attempting to go any more than 3/4 throttle it stops working, the 150lb thrust model can only move my 800lb aluminum boat about 3-4mph on a lake. Also, it is already falling apart, the spring stopped working shortly after I bought it, and then the t handle fell off and into the water so I can no longer trim the motor, and I can't find replacement parts for it. ... show more

This motor requires, I seems-we received a few days ago.-a 24 V battery- hard to find it seemed to us.. We didn’t know, so we used a 12 v and it didn’t work. The customer service was so supportive-willing to take it back with a refund We called marine shops and they never heard of a 150 pound thrust motor that seems to require a 24v.. Once we got the 24 V and also did parallel. charging with two 12 v it worked! It hauls!!!!!! We like it a lot! It’s fantastic! ... show more
