  • Bright, Clear, Versatile, but a Bit Heavy
This is a beautiful screen. To get the few negatives out of the way: This is a substantial screen, meaning it is not light. It clocks in at 3 lbs and 7.5 oz on my kitchen scale. For comparison, my laptop is 3 lbs and 14 ozs. So it will double the weight of your laptop bag. Second, the instructions are at best incomplete. They say words and the words make sense, but it doesn’t really help you figure out what you are supposed to do. Fortunately, it is pretty self explanatory. Once you figure out to use the USB-C connections on the bottom and that the scroll bars are also push buttons, you’re good to go. I use this with a Dell Latitude. The screen is crisp, showing nice colors and contrast. I couldn’t quite get it to match with what’s on the laptop after fiddling with the various picture settings, but the images are still excellent. Text is similarly crisp and easy to read. I love the waterfall view. This is handy, especially if you are dealing with small text. The bar in the middle of the screen where the two screens connect is a little distracting, especially if you have a pop up box that crosses the screens and becomes unintelligible, but otherwise it is great. If you are using the waterfall view with a screen extension, the USB output you use to connect to the laptop matters, as you can only move your mouse from your primary screen to either the top or the bottom screen, again depending on what you plugged the USB-C cord into. The kick stand works well and is very stable and will give you multiple inclinations. On the wish list, I wish this would have come with a carrying case. It is a bit tricky to connect your cords to the monitor because the cutout is quite deep into the back of the display (see the picture). This also protects your cords, which is good, but is awkward in terms of the buttons on the other side. Overall, I am super happy with this. I love that you can flip the screens so that you can share content on, say, a table, if you are working on a project together. ... show more

  • Almost there...
I'm really torn on this monitor. The screen bezels are large and make for big visual break when I have it in waterfall mode. On the other hand, I LOVE the portability and the size of the screen. I am constantly using it with my laptop and find that I can hardly imagine not having it... I had really hoped that I could use it with my Samsung Chromebook, but apparently its too outdated. However, my son's Chromebook works fine with it. The portability and versatility is fantastic as long as it works with the device you want it to. My Asus laptop is limited to two screens unfortunately and I can't get it to expand into three screen mode. This monitor also doesn't shut off automatically when closed - maybe there's a computer setup that will do it for me, but I haven't found it yet. When turned on its side, it doesn't always register what direction its in and so I can consistently get a hysterical mode where one monitor faces up and the other faces upside down. It feels like the execution and engineering are almost there....but just not quite right. When this dies, I'll look for a replacement folding screen like this one, but I'll definitely be looking for one that works a bit better... ... show more

  • Meh...
First, these monitors are pretty clear as well they should be considering they are 1080P on a 15" monitor. Second they do get pretty bright. For me, that's where the good ends and the not so great begins. A few things bother me about these monitors. For the price, these monitors are only 60Hz which makes little sense these days considering larger and higher resolution panels have become so inexpensive. The VESA mount is only on the bottom or one side should you decide to orient these vertically. I would have like to see some better stabilization of the monitor that does not have the VESA mount on it so it doesn't move around at all if the monitor gets bumped. And the connections on this monitor are those annoying mini/micro HDMI ports. What makes it worse is that they supply ridiculously short cables even for it's intended use case of a portable setup. The bracket stand is pretty flimsy. I think for the price at the time of review, many improvements should have been made. ... show more

  • Looks really nice, interesting concept for "portable" monitor
This monitor looks really nice and folds up for easy carrying. The setup is a little tricky. The manual isn't great and the buttons and ports are a bit recessed and difficult to reach when it's opened. But once you get everything plugged in, it figures everything else out for you and you're good to go. I'm not sure what they mean exactly by portable. It folds up nicely and is really easy to take with you, but you're not going to pull this out on your lap and go to town like a laptop. If you've got a laptop and you need more screen real estate and you know you have a desk somewhere to set everything up, this seems like a great option for you. Potentially tripling your screen space and you can take it away with you. This would really shine in a shared desk office, or any other situation where you have to take your laptop or tablet pc with you from a home desk to an office desk that's not exclusively yours. I could also see it working well if you have a situation where you want a few extra monitors to easily extend your desktop, without having to always give up the desk space for them, like you would a normal monitor, since you can fold these up and store them away very easily. It has 3 usb-c ports and 2 hdmi mini ports. 2 usb-c and 1 hdmi mini port for the bottom primary monitor and 1 and 1 for the secondary screen. Both of the usb-c connections for the bottom monitor can be used to power the whole device. I tested plugging in a usb-c cable from the bottom port into power and the bottom hdmi mini into an old raspberry pi and the display powered on without any issues and auto-configured to display the raspberry pi mirrored onto both screens. ... show more
