I love any toy that encourages creativity, so these STEM toys are a win as a grandma! They learn problem solving and these toys foster engaging and interactive skills that make education FUN! I had a similar set for my preschooler before we lost a lot of of the pieces and I decided to get this one. I thought it would be cool because it’s bigger, which gives us more opportunity to build more stuff. All those these are durable and fairly easy to put together, it is a bit challenging to actually build structures. As much as we do have fun it definitely is something that requires adult assistance.

Our 5 year old loves to build things and adores little hideaways, like most kids his age. We thought this would be perfect for him, and he certainly LOVES hooking the pieces together. But he is too young yet to have the engineering skills to conceive and build a small playhouse. So that's where Dad comes in. The boy can hook them and unhook them just fine, but he really needs an adult's help to build a larger structure. These parts are pretty sturdy--we haven't broken any so far--and they tuck away in a box quite neatly for storage when it's time to put the toy away. We'll be trotting this out now and then, for sure.

Kids love it because they can add our animals in the backyard into the mix and they have a B:AST! Enough pieces to make some cool stuff for the kiddos and add a few sheets and they now have a "castle" haha. 5/5 stars!
