Though I generally review entertainment products on Amazon I do live a (mostly) normal life and I love to cook. I’m always wearing out knives and got this set to try. The first think you notice the cardboard box that holds the knives for shipping. Quite attractive but, if I’m using the knives on a regular basis, I’d keep in a knife rack or drawer. Honestly our counter space is small so I’m not a fan of knife holders for us. This is one of the first (I can remember) set of sharp knives that comes with a sheath to protect the blade (and the owner!). So I ca just throw in the drawer. I liked the weight and handles and they were comfortable. Yes they are sharp but it’ll take time to see how long they hold their edge. But for this price I’m not expecting to have to re -sharpen. The blades are fairly thin. The set comes with a 12 month warranty (I guess that if they dull quickly. They are certainly not going to “break”. I took some photos to go with the review. Our knives are a bit on the dull side. Instead of buying all new ones I decided to get this 3 piece set. I have to say wow I am impressed. For just a little over $20 for these 3 knives you get are pretty impressive. They are medium weight and what you would expect for knives. They are pretty sharp too. The chef's knife is great for cutting up chicken and meat, the kiritsuke knife is perfect for slicing up potatoes and vegetables, and the utility is awesome for everything else in between. They arrive in a nicely presented box that would be great as a gift. Each knife has a sheath which keeps them protected from getting damaged or accidentally cutting something. I am so happy with these. They seem to be nice quality and work great! If you are in need of knives check these out. For the cost I'm pretty sure you wont be disappointed. ... show more

These knives are a pleasure to use and they are super sharp and cut like butter! No sharpening is required if you treat them like fine instruments. I bought this to replace my old chief knife. It's nice to have a set. I finally have different knives for different purposes, one for raw food, one for cooked food, and one for fruits. Yeahhhh! Can't wait to try it in making sushi. Now I have no excuse not to cut it well...
