after contacting seller I went with the 12 inch mattress instead of the 14 in. I prefer a med firm to firm mattress and they recommended the 12 in over the 14 in. It expanded to full height almost right away but i didn't sleep on it for 2 days to give it time to set up all the way. I did put on a 1 inch 'egg-crate" memory foam pad that I had on another bed just to try it on this mattress. I was comfortable on the 1st night sleeping on it. When I change my sheets I'm going to remove the pad and try it w/o it. I am so far very happy with my purchase. your mileage may vary :)

Really happy with this mattress! It came neatly packed in a box and was super easy to set up. Once we unwrapped it, it expanded pretty quickly and unexpectedly because we opened in wrong way. Also it has hand grip on both side. It’s firm enough to give good back support but has enough cushion on top so it doesn’t feel hard. After a few nights of sleeping on it, it’s been really comfortable and holds its shape well.
