It seems like it's made of the same stuff as the bags in the produce section of the grocery stores. I had a bag in the bin for over a week and it didn't leak, even with wet stuff in it. The bags are easy to rip/tear though, so be careful with sharp/pointy things. All in all I'm very happy with the product.

These do an excellent job as replacements for regular plastic bags that pollute our landfills and our world. They're just as strong as the old ones and hold as much and are easy to use. Cost a bit more but our world is worth saving!

I bought these to reduce my guilt about lining my cans, using them multiple times or until I can barely lift them out of the can. I saw the Hold On advertised and thought I would give them a try, knowing their competitors had fallen short of the mark. The did not fall short they exceeded them and I have been using them since...they don't leak, they don't break, stuff stays where it is supposed to. And guild reduction achieved.

I've been using these bags for a while now, mainly the kitchen and 4 gallon bags for kitchen trash and cat litter respectively. I do use the baggies too but not quite as frequently. For a home-compostable product and product promised to break down in commercial landfills, I believe the claims. Those two things also make this a pretty eco-friendly product. The only reasons I dock a star are 1) They are not as durable as regular plastic bags. This is not a surprise but is what it is. The kitchen drawstrings almost always break at the drawstring. If the bag is light or not full, not a problem but then the bag isn't fully utilized which leads me to my next point. They're expensive. In the grand scheme, they're not terribly expensive but compared to normal plastic options, these are like 4x the price. A not necessarily negative note: If any moist trash sits in a bag for a certain period of time, maybe a week or so, the bags start to decompose so they must stay dry or be discarded within a few days. I have lifted bags out of receptacles multiple times to find holes have 'melted' through the bioplastic and the bags have started degrading already. This is great meaning they are doing their job, but I try not to generate much trash in the first place so only take my bag out maybe once every 10 to 14 days. With these, I have to take them out more frequently. The attached photo is after I think about 10 days. Probably the best option for families that go through a lot of trash. Still, I support the company for providing a product of this nature. Hopefully quality will continue to go up, and price will go down. Side note: I have contacted customer services regarding what I thought was an issue (which wasn't) and they were very responsive and detailed.

Some of mine have been splitting at the seams, and a couple have broken the ties when I close them up! I’ll add I one person that doesn’t overstuff my trash and I’m not rough! My first box was fine, but have been having problems with this purchase!

Love these trash bag! The material is thick and they fit perfectly in my kitchen trash can with lid. We only empty usually once a week and it doesn’t breakdown. After two weeks with it having table scraps it doesn’t start to breakdown. Only had this happen once out of a year of using these bags so highly recommend as an alternative to plastic bags!

I’ve been using these bags for almost a year now. After trying other compostable bags, these were the toughest! They still rip easily when stuffed too full, but what doesn’t? I love that they are good for the planet, anything to reduce plastic!
