was really looking for a larger hanging basket and this is it. It's expensive, but my last version lasted over years. Actually they're still in good shape, just tired. Despite the dimensions, this is deep. I wish I had done a fern or other plant in it so it looked fuller to start. However this will hold a lot of plants. My prior one had an automatic drain spout but I really like that there is a plug where I can let out the water if there is too much. The quality of this product, surely justifies it's price and I believe they will be around for years to come. Most hanging baskets are shallow and plants get rootbound quickly in standard hanging baskets. These have depth and the water gage lets you know when it needs watered. Gorgeous! Looks beautiful with my other outdoor wicker! I’ve never used the “water gauge” that came with it with any other pots, so the jury’s still out on that. But, the pot itself is simply lovely.

    • Nice product, but you're on your own to troubleshoot any problem.
This is an attractive, well-made planter. I did have a problem with the water level indicator. As it turned out, the small white piece that floats inside the tube to move the red indicator straw was upside down, so the indicator was stuck and did not float to show the water level. Turning this so the white end was down corrected the issue and the indicator is working. My only complaint at this point is that it was impossible to get help with this. When I tried to ask Rufus what to do, he told me to consult the manual, which is so poorly translated as to be almost worthless and does not discuss the water level indicator anyway. Rufus' other suggestion was to contact the manufacturer; attempts to reach the manufacturer brought me in a big circle back to Amazon. The pot is quite heavy, and hanging it takes a couple of people, so it's a pain to have to remove it to work on it. ... show more

These planters are great. I now have four. I love that they self watered all week so I only need to fill every two weeks. The gauge lets me know if I need to add water, which is helpful in the summer heat

    • Hook not strong enough to support pot.
I bought a set of two of these. One of the hooks, after being heated in the sun, bent so that the pot slipped off the support and fell to the ground. Pot is cracked and hook is now a straightened piece of wire. These are the most expensive pots I have ever purchased and I deeply regret my investment. ... show more
