The wiring MIGHT be universal for some models - but NOT my CFMOTO U600. I was going to return it - but the price was right. I cut off the "universal" plug and tapped into my vehicle wiring. Also note: you can unplug the red wire at #6 on the switch to eliminate the LED light!!!

I bought it to essentially allow for phone free comms as I am running around my farm on one of my three mules. I got the idea from the dealer when I bought my new Kawasaki Mule as an option. It was an add-on of $179.00. I declined and bought one on Amazon and paid a buddy$20.00 to put in. I saved$130.00 and have louder, clearer claxoned horn! I am going to add these to my tractors as well. ( the idea came from my time in the navy watching tug boats talk to each other by horn blasts- makes sense and adds safety to my farm. Farm or not-communicating while driving is essential and this is a very genuine, valuable and safe way to do it and save a LOT of money! It is a no-brainer in my book but then again I like being a realist NOT a fictionist!

Wiring harness was a little on the clunky side but after fishing it through the firewall on my SxS installation was fairly straight forward. I tapped into the power and ground from my dash 12v accessory receptacle for key on only power as the horn button would stay lighted if using direct to battery connection. Plenty of options under hood for mounting horn and mounting bracket can be bent easily for customization. Loudness rated at 60db and I would say anyone around is going to hear it easily. Price was right, works great.

The switch and components are of good quality. But note, if this is used on a SXS/UTV with a rear engine/battery and the horn switch and horn in the front, you will have to make some custom wiring harnesses to lengthen the run of the horn power lines and the switch power line to reach from the relay located by the battery in the back to the horn and switch in the front. Second, it has a pre-made quick-release plug-in maybe made for newer UTV’s with connections in the front. I have a 2020 Can AM Defender with no such port under the front hood. That connecter had to be cut ad the two wires (hot & grnd) wired with extensions manually. So be prepared to make some custom wiring looms to get this installed properly.
