The kit case is rugged and ready to go. No issues with the operation worked with no problems as of yet. Depending on the viscosity liquid the pump speed is adequate I was able to transfer to a water bottle without a mess.

I bought this pump to transfer approximately 40 gallons of gasoline from the fuel tank build into my boat. This turns out to be good kit. It arrived well packaged and included everything shown in the ad. The body of the pump is embossed with the fuel flow direction. Two hose barb style fittings are included, a rubber seal for the outlet side and a screen with integral sealing surface is included for the inlet side. It's important to install the screen on the inlet to protect the internal workings of the pump. I had some 1/2" automotive hose on hand and therefore, I installed it onto the barbed fittings. I applied a coating of liquid hand soap to the barbs and used a q-tip to get some soap on the inside surface of the hose. It's a tight fit and I was able to fully seat it on the barb. The provided power cord provides a generous length for making connection to a 12V battery (I had an old car battery that powered the pump well). My inlet hose is about 3' and my fuel source was about 2 1/2' below the pump. Happily, the pump self primes within a few seconds and pumps a solid stream. They ad claims 3+ GPM and although I did not time it, the flow rate seems accurate enough. I transferred fuel from the boat tank into 5-gallon cans which filled in minutes.     • Good for transferring fuel on boat

I purchased this to transfer fuel from 30 gallon drums on deck to fuel tank of a Sea-Doo Switch while on the Great Loop. It worked very well for that purpose and the 12v plug on the boat powered the pump adequately. Transfer speed is not blazing fast, but was more than adequate for my needs. The only negative I have is that once you are done pumping, the pump does not pull all of the residual fuel out of the supply line through the pump (even when you hold the supply line vertical to gravity flow the residual fuel into the pump), so you get a small bit of spillage/backflow. Otherwise would give 5 stars. The case is a great feature that protects the components, keeps everything together so you’re not searching about for the power cord, and makes it easy to stow. ... show more
