This was nearly exactly what I needed. I was running from my amplifier to a speaker switch/protector and I only needed a few feet. This was a 20 foot reel I would have wasted 90 feet if I got 100'. Sounds really good.

Used this on my own perosnal home theater sound system. It was overkill for use but so inexpensive it was worth it. Wire was very easy to pull through the walls/ceiling. Easily identifiable polarity markings. Good quality. Would definitely recommend!

It is speaker wire. Bear in mind, it is copper clad aluminum (which keeps the cost down). The wire is made up of very fine individual conductors which keep the cables very flexible. I appreciate the white insulation as it fits the esthetics of the room. For me, they feed the rear surround speakers and I wasn't able to hide the cable the entire run. The 12 gauge cable works perfectly with banana plug connectors from Amazon, Monoprice, and others. It also twists up nice if you need to feed it through a screw and post connector. I am very happy with the performance of the cable overall and would not hesitate to purchase again.
