These are exactly what I needed to modify some flags that I bought to hang on the walls in my garage. I have flags for each brand and the country the cars come from. The first few are in the photo. Most flags come with grommets only on the left side. Since I'm hanging them flat against the wall, I needed grommets on the right side as well. These are smaller grommets than the flags have, but they do the job, without being too obvious. My flags are thin polyester, so the grommets just cut through without any trouble. There is a punch included for thicker material, but I haven't used it yet. This does come with silver and gold colored grommets. The instruction sheet shows how to use the tool with photos. The build quality of the tool is plenty good enough for home use. I think a professional that uses a tool like this all day every day would probably want a little higher durability, but those tools cost many times more than this kit. This tool and supplies will probably last me a lifetime.

Great price. I needed to add grommets to a couple of cotton fabric mandala tapestry pieces. It worked alright. I used a wooden block underneath as recommended for the the hole cutting. That piece worked for just the first 2-3 holes and bent in so that piece was useless. I had to use scissors to cut out a small hole in fabric for each grommet. The grommets aren’t that high quality but work great for basic needs. They stay on well. Im going to have to buy some nicer finished grommets for clothes, jewelry or anything where the look of the grommet really matters. Grommets come in silver color & in gold color, which is nice. The pliers-looking part feels nice & sturdy. Easy to hold grip & easy to squeeze unlike some of the bigger bulkier types. It’s not heavy or uncomfortable to use, so a plus on ease of use.

I have expensive running shoes. The problem with these shoes, is the manufacturer shoe lace eyelets are just slits or cut outs into the leather or fabric. I always cinch my shoes laces tight. Which means, I slowly cut through or break the holes for the shoes laces. I thought I would have to get rid of these expensive shoes! Then a saw this product. I bought it and I personal installed metal shoe lace eyelets. They work great! I can keep using my running shoes! Great product!

The lifetime quantity of grommets is not supplied in a bag that can reclose. I have little zip bags that I save from other products, so I could fix that. The instructions are brown and hidden at the bottom of the brown box so I couldn’t find them until I was putting things away. Please put the instructions in the plastic bag! Or fold the instructions inside out so they are seen. Finally, the grommets do not end up with a smooth finish. They flower out in sharp edged petals. Not a great result. I guess you have to go with larger grommets that are hammered to keep the metal from splitting.

It’s really easy to work. I bought it for my paper crafting projects and it works perfectly. Rather easy to clamp. Be aware that the pliers doesn’t punch the holes, but the little too to do that is included.

I used it to put grommets in doubled 6ml plastic sheeting. They give you a punch to make the proper hole. Just need a piece of scrap wood and a hammer. The tool itself was easy to use to make perfect precise grommets every time.
