Honestly and pleasantly surprised. This is a full monitoring system that is better than what the 5-year monitoring contract guys are selling. It comes with the panel, which has a very intuitive interface, 1 motion sensor, 1 window sensor, two fobs, two keychain fobs that allow you to activate the alarm from the outside, and a very loud speaker that allows you to both communicate and functions as an alarm. The real beauty is in the control panel itself and the baked-in capabilities of it. It can handle GPRS systems, so you can get a physical SIM card from your wireless provider and assign a telephone number to this. The App does the rest of the magic. Honestly, I am impressed by the full-fledge capabilities that this system has. I know people paying more than what this costs on a monthly basis, and it simply doesn't make any sense. It works with Wifi, a local hotspot, or straight from a SIM. Can be ran from a battery since it uses a USB-A cable for self-powering. It's portable enough to take with you on the road if you frequently stay at hotels (everything takes seconds to setup). It works off the Tuya (Smartlife) App, so you probably already have something of their installed in your home so it is just a matter of adding the device to your setup. Because it works with Tuya, you can integrate this into your Google Home (or similar) setup, which means you can setup scenes and triggers, including connecting this to an existing camera that's on your same WIFI network to gain visual access of the situation. You can also setup events so that additional lights turn on (works better if they're TUYA lights and not working through Works with Google or anything like it... but it does work if you have the patience). Extremely impressed that this system costs what it does, and that you can configure which number it dials in case of emergency (or someone pressing the SOS button). There are no contracts here. For the SIM device, talk to your mobile provider and tell them that this is an alarm system so they can send you a SIM for an "internet connected device" which costs maybe $5 or $10 a month to keep (but can be found as low as $2/mo if you prepay for a whole year, as always your mileage may vary depending on where you are).
