Well made - great blockade for couch, beds, bureaus (secure if tied)

These worked extremely well as a cat blockade on my couch, two beds, many bureaus and nightstands. You can use the tall side or the shorter side as needed. The tall side was too high at times and a drawer could not open, so I just flipped it to the shorter aide. These worked well on all my furniture. Since not all furniture designs are the same and even the legs vary you may need your thinking cap. Sometimes you have to tie two zip ties together for very wide legs, but it's easy to think through. They work great. My cat could not get through anywhere we used them. They are pretty sturdy. When I needed an extra length not as long as a full 14.5" pc, I just tied one on top of another once I overlapped a pc & made that last pc the right length, adding to the end, then I tied it together with zip ties. It was time consuming bcuz I used so many of them but if you want to do the job right it's best to take your time. I secured them to all to the legs of my furniture with zip ties. If you assure they are tied and secured to the furniture legs you can move the smaller pcs of furniture by sliding them. My couch is light enough that I was able to move it to get behind it after the shields were installed. I wish I had these yrs ago bcuz every time the fire alarm would go off in my bldg it was a nightmare finding my cat and pulling the mattress off and getting her out. These make it so much easier. Now she has to use her pet beds, the cat tree or someplace else to sleep. Unfortunately, I no longer have a cat as of yesterday. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to blockade their cat from going under furniture.

These have saved my couch set!! Now the dog can’t scratch/dig under it to retrieve his toys! They’re easy to install and remove when time to clean and they add a nice touch to the couch’s design! So glad I purchased them!

Good, not great

Personally it doesn’t work as good as I wish it did, but I don’t want to give this a poor rating because it isn’t a bad product either and is probably one of the best of its kind. I have a pitbull puppy, and he would get upset every night for weeks when he would realize or remember he couldn’t go back under the bed. And i don’t think I can give this 5 stars because he was able to break through it a few times and in pretty short time. At the same time however, you can reinforce it with the included zip ties and it becomes increasingly sturdy. I think he could still break through it, but it does work because it slows him down enough to where we can keep him out from under the bed where he is more difficult to keep an eye on.

This thing is awesome! So under my bed is 7 in, but this works perfectly. Look how I just zip tie it to the actual bed; the bed frame, so it's not going anywhere. And I zip tied every panel together, too. And instead of going all the way around the "outside" of the bed, at the foot of the bed, I just attached it to the last metal frame, that way my cat can still hide under the bed, leaving about 2 ft for her to hide, and feel comfortable, but I can still reach and grab her. Also guys, I just wanted to share with you, notice in the second picture, that bag. This is a bag of bricks, that I put directly under the frame, because I live in an earthquake zone, so if the bedpost fails and breaks, the frame and bed will land on top of the bricks, and not my cat. Even if I'm not in an earthquake zone, I like this precaution, because there are many stories, especially with Ikea, of where the bed breaks and crushes the animals underneath. And even though this bed blocker, will prevent our pets from getting under the bed, I left it there, just for extra piece of mind, and it also stabilizes the bed blockers.

Decent for keeping items out, but has a few drawbacks

These work pretty well for blocking things from rolling under my bed, but they aren't perfect. The Pros: Easy to line up and configure under furniture. Keeps larger items and toys from getting lost underneath. The Cons: Dust still gets under: It doesn't seal to the floor, so dust bunnies and fine dirt still pass right through. Cleaning is a pain: Having to use the double sided tape means you have to tear everything apart and re-tape it every time you want to sweep or vacuum under the bed properly. Not super sturdy: They still shift around if something bumps into them, like my robot vacuum bumps them out of place pretty easily.

Eviction notice for the lost toys & rambunctious cats. A must-have for pet & human parents.

If you have orange cats or Siamese cats with orange cat energy, these are CLUTCH for rescuing your sanity. My cat. Obsessed. However, the sweet, gentle, pretty kitty is obsessed with being under the bed and, like a scene out of a B-rated horror movie, will scurry across the carpet and under the bed on his back to get attention in the witching hours. If you’re also like me and sleep is a luxury that's interrupted by the sound of a mouse 💨…, then again, let me tell you, this pack of gates saves your 💤. He can’t get under the bed now. I had had enough of the gates that he also couldn’t scratch the fabric frame. The /adorable/ move he uses to get me to reach over and acknowledge that he’s obviously withering away and must be fed. Time is irrelevant. It fit perfectly. The dog watched as I annoyed him by easily putting together the gates after his self-imposed bedtime & my evening rotation of wine. It’s clear he’s also happier now because the sweet, angelic, majestic cat that likes to chase him can’t interfere with his beauty sleep. I imagine that, as SINK, this might sound silly to all the parents of the miniature humans. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE. It works on kids, too. They can’t crawl under the bed and come out, making you wish you had a mattress protector to reduce the cleaning, only to then stare at you, eyes wide with wonder (or empty). Or, if the human that you realize you’re arguing with is a smaller version of yourself that has less life experience, but that’s irrelevant to them, they need to know the monsters under their bed can’t get out once you install the gate. They’re just going to have to move on to another unsuspecting creature. And, I haven’t tried it on the couch where the toys I buy on repeat because, let’s face it, I’m not moving the sofa daily, to make their own Dust Bunny army, but I imagine that it works marginally better. It’s a fence. It has openings. They likely won’t keep Timmy from putting objects in there, including small snacks or fingers, but it’s still an improvement over an unoccupied goal. 🥅 Best of luck with your sleep and sanity if you realize you need this product. Once it arrives, I hope both improve. From a not-so-friendly, but honest Elder Millennial.

Works well with slight modification

I bought these to keep my kittens out from underneath our couches and a hutch in our dining room. Pros: 1. Sturdy | They are well constructed and not at all flimsy 2. Well-Sized | They were tall enough for every application I used them for. Cons: 1. The click-to-lock doesn't keep them together under duress. My kittens try to manipulate them to get under the furniture where I have them. I had to zip-tie them together to keep them connected. My recommendation would be, buy them, but depending on your intended use, buy a pack of zip ties too!
