So usually, when I go on trips, I end up hanging my jackets/slacks and shirts in the hallway where we hang our coats, or laying them on the bed. Love using this valet rod. It's something I didn't think I needed, but love that I have it. What is really great is that the design meant I didn't have to use screws to attach it to our closet, the slots for screws lined up perfectly with the track our closet has for the shelf pins. And I was able to install it using only shelf pins. Super easy and convenient! It comes with screws (didn't use) and it comes with hooks you can attach to the valet rod housing. I don't plan on using those so won't comment to their usefulness. All in all, well constructed, thoughtfully designed, and a breeze to install. 5-stars from me, although I will say price seems a bit high, for me the installation makes it worth it. Recommend.

This does what is says and has some hardware to install. Works just fine when you need a spot to pull out and put an outfit you are prepping for an upcoming event, etc. The hooks offer additional hanging spots for shoes, ties, etc that is out of the way as well. The build quality is not premium by any means (the hooks feel particularly cheap), but it is not bad and will have no problems serving it's purpose. For many items like this though you would expect the openings for the screws to be standard so they can go into existing closets that already have shelving holes available. Unfortunately, the openings are too small to fit any standard shelving screws for a more compatible usage. I do not fault them for not including those types of screws, just that the opening to put the screws in are not big enough to make use of this. I will try to drill holes to accommodate these types of screws so this can more easily attach in the already available holes. Overall, it is very useful, serves it's purpose, but I would expect slightly better quality of hooks at $36. The non standard opening for attaching the bar is disappointing but nothing that cannot be resolved with a little DIY. Great to be able to pull out and hang your clothes when you are deciding what to wear. We were going to install hooks on the the outside panels edges and these solved the problem. They are very nicely made and sturdy. The fact that they slide back and become "invisible" m We will be buying a few more to install

Effective for helping organize and arrange closet items. Prefer to hang certain items in a more visible part of closet and this valet rod helps accomplish such a need. Installs pretty quickly and can hold several items without worry of problems. The extra hooks and slide mechanism make the rod flexible and more useful.

I had never heard of a valet rod until this item crossed my path. It is easy to install and discreetly hides out of the way when not in use. I have been able to use it for sorting and hanging laundry, allowing a garment or two at a time to air dry, and setting out the day's outfits. I don't find much use for the hooks on the side (not a scarf or belt person) but perhaps they will be able to be utilized in the future. Now that my daughter has seen me using one, she has requested one for her own closet so even a preteen can see value in having one of these in her closet.

We attached this to a large standing cabinet in our laundry room. We wanted it to hang up wet sweatshirts and shirts. I love that the rod can be tucked away when not in use and the hooks can slide. I highly recommend this hangar!!!!
