The cream may appear white at first as the encapsulated pigments activate during blending. Blend thoroughly until the shade develops evenly. Applying too much product at once may cause patchiness. Does it provide full coverage? The coverage is buildable from natural to medium-full depending on how much product you apply. For the most skin-like result, we recommend applying thin layers and building coverage only where needed. Can sensitive skin use this product? Although the product has completed a skin irritation test, skin reactions may vary depending on individual skin condition and sensitivities. If you have especially sensitive skin, we recommend performing a patch test before full application. What’s the best way to apply it? I’m shocked to find so many terrible reviews from older women. I’m 48, fair skinned and have a few blemishes and veins showing on my cheek. The quality is superb - lasts a very long time / all day coverage and matches my skin tone almost exactly. You can see NO signs of blemishes, but it looks like I’m not wearing any make up at all! I ordered “natural” but that was a smudge to dark, though everyone else said it looks perfect! Anyways - it’s very lightweight and doesn’t feel cakey. It’s smooth and creamy / moisturizing - for me anyways. It’s autumn and my skin gets dry in colder weather. I haven’t had to start with lotion using this foundation, and when I remove it at night my skin is so soft. It looks natural, whoever said it made her look like a ghost must have applied the entire stick, or did not blend it. Or maybe got the kabuki version…I don’t know. I do agree that the cap falls off while brushing / blending, but that really doesn’t matter to me. I just leave the cap off while I use the brush. In short - I never use foundation because I can never find something that matches my skin tone and doesn’t collect in the creases and wrinkles. This one is INCREDIBLE, follows through with its claims, and I’m excited to finally, for the first time in my life at 48, have a foundation that works!! I’m on my second stick.

So I have been using an age defying foundation for years, and it was not working for me anymore. I had difficulty matching a shade and my skin has become much drier as I have aged. This foundation doesn't seem to settle into my lines as much, and looks like real skin, and not mask like. It is buildable for areas that need a little more coverage. I did switch to a cream blush (works better with this) and blend the blush into the foundation with a brush, and finish with a very, very light powder to control excess shine. I have sensitive skin with some sun damage and have had no reaction. It is moisturizing and contains sunscreen. It seems to last all day. It is a bit more expensive than my drug store foundation, but I decided to give it a try and I honestly love it. It took a couple of tries to get the application down, but now it is my favorite. It does take me a little longer to apply, only because I am older and not used to using tools to apply my foundation. It comes with a built in brush that I clean in between uses.

Worth $5 USD and yet they’re charging almost $30!!! Just for your info: I’m 60 y/o with fair, sensitive skin with normal skin moisture (not dry/not oily). Unlike other cream makeup foundations & concealers on sticks, this product turned out to be super dry. It’s so dry that I decided to use Eucerin intensive care moisturizer prior to applying it, which helped but obviously, it isn’t ideal as it defeats the purpose for a “creamy foundation” that’s supposed to be well, CREAMY! It’s definitely white but unlike advertised, it does NOT change its color as I applied it on my super fair facial skin!! Just a little bit of it made me look like a ghost! Also, it does NOT cover any blemishes, not even the faintest of spots, which I only have less than a hand full on my face, mostly on the corners of my eyes. I guess this could work for younger women with very oily skin, as this product definitely dries up the skin. However, it only works as a “see through” foundation and it definitely “whitens” even the whitest of skin tones! It’s super dry on the skin so no only it defeats its purpose but I know it’d harm my skin on long term. There are much better skin/facial makeup foundations on today’s market, which ideally match or at least come close to matching our skin color tones…rather than just make it whiter while failing to cover the slightest (or lightest if you will) of small blemishes. In the past, I’ve purchased products like this in liquid form (on “pump” small glass containers) that actually change color once applied and it works far better as foundation, especially when it comes to moisturizing and covering blemishes (and even as sunblockers) than this product does! I agree with one reviewer here, who like myself, had issues keeping the brush lid on while applying the product on her facial skin. It doesn’t always happen but the brush lid can and it does come off easily, especially if we’re not careful about holding the stick above the bush lid, which obviously isn’t ideal, rather super inconvenient and annoying, especially when if we’re in a hurry, which to me personally is the main point and purpose of purchasing makeup products that come on sticks! The brush itself is firm, which I like but then again, since mine is sensitive skin, it’s another thing that I must be careful about as extra firm brushes can definitely be too harsh if I’m not careful while using it on my sensitive facial skin. The firm brush is however ideal for this product as a soft brush couldn’t possibly work to evenly distribute extremely dry facial makeup products. I’m super disappointed, especially considering that this is supposedly a Korean product and that I never had any issues and was never disappointed with Made in Korea skin and makeup products…until now! I’ve found much, much better and far less costly Korean makeup and skin care products at stores such as Marshall’s and TJMAXX and I can honestly say that this product doesn’t come close to living up to the Korean standards that I’ve been so happy with for many years now! This was a total waste of my time and money! NOPE…I DON’T recommend this product!

If you want FULL coverage, here it is. I took one star off because of the slightly green cast to the color, but I prefer it to an orange cast. I’m tan, so I ordered the darkest option and it is still pretty pale (lighter than my neck). But it should be okay this fall and winter when I’m not in the sun so much. It feels Very thick, probably because I’m not used to full coverage. Haven’t worn it a full day yet, but it looks pretty on my old skin when the full face is finished. I’ll try a before and after picture for follow up

Okay, I need to write this review because when I was researching before buying, I couldn't find any brown-skinned girl talking about this product, and I wish I had. So someone else doesn't go through the same thing. I saw this product in a thousand TikTok videos, all these Korean and white girls showing how the little stick "changes color" and adapts to your skin tone. The magic word: Volufiline. The promise: medium to full coverage with a glowing finish, easy to apply, Korean, innovative. I urgently needed a quick base for my college and work mornings, something I could carry in my backpack and apply on the go. I convinced myself, bought it, waited excitedly for my package... And it arrived. First: the presentation is pretty, Korean packaging is always cute, the double-ended brush is interesting. But what had to happen, happened: I tried it on my hand and my heart sank to the floor. I'm brown-skinned. I'm not the brownest person in the world, but I'm definitely not white. And this product, in its lightest shade and in its most "adaptable" shade, is white. Literally white. When you apply it, yes, it changes texture a little and blends into the skin... if your skin is light. If you're brown-skinned, what you get is a grayish finish, like you put concealer that's too light all over your face. No "adaptation" saves it. I tried mixing it, blending it with a sponge, using it only as a concealer in specific areas... it didn't work. The wrong shade is the wrong shade, period. There's no magic that turns a white stick into a shade for brown skin. In the end, there it sits in my drawer, collecting dust. An unnecessary purchase because I didn't research well and because no one was honest in the reviews: these shades are not for brown-skinned girls. They're for light to very light skin tones. If you're brown-skinned like me, look for another option. This stick isn't for us and it's okay to accept that. I wish someone had told me before.

I’m really impressed with the coverage. It helps even out my skin tone and covers what I need without looking heavy or cakey. The finish looks very natural, almost like I’m not wearing foundation at all, just like my skin looks smoother and more even. It doesn’t look cracked or like there’s a lot of product sitting on my face. I also really like the little brush on the bottom. It’s very practical and makes it easy to blend the product without needing another tool. For the results it gives, I also think it’s a really good value for the price. Overall, I’m very happy with how natural and even my skin looks

UPDATE: After trying this product more extensively, my opinion has definitely changed. I ended up sending the first one back and kept the second, but neither shade worked for me (both were much too light) and this third one that I’m using now actually broke after the very first use. Also, it’s closer to my skin tone, but I still wouldn’t call it a perfect match. Now that I’ve actually spent more time using it, I’m just not a huge fan of the formula. I honestly think it would be much better as a whole if they skipped the whole white “color-changing” gimmick and simply made it a normal foundation in the intended shade. The white base makes application unnecessarily difficult. The attached brush does a terrible job of blending it enough to break open the pigment capsules, so I usually end up having to use my hands/fingers and really work the product into my skin before it stops looking white and starts resembling my actual shade. And once it finally does change color, I’m still not crazy about the formula itself. It feels very thick, greasy, and heavy on my skin, without even full coverage, which is basically the opposite of what I originally thought when I first tried it. The more I’ve used it, the less I like how it feels. The built-in brush is also disappointing. In theory, having the brush attached should make this convenient and mess-free, but in reality I find myself abandoning the brush and blending with my hands anyway. I really wanted to love this because the concept is fun, and when you finally get it blended out, the coverage can look decent. But after trying multiple shades, returning two of them, having one break immediately, struggling with the built-in brush, and finally finding a shade that’s only kind of right, I don’t think the formula or design lives up to the marketing. It doesn’t stay on good either. It just patchy and hard to wear/blend. My original review after first seeing/trying it was: Just FYI — it is not actually “detecting” your skin tone like the marketing makes it seem. It uses tiny microencapsulated pigment beads that burst from the friction of blending, releasing iron oxide pigments that create the color. So it’s more of a cosmetic chemistry trick than a magic shade-matching formula. Even knowing that, I actually like the product, just wish it matched slightly better. The coverage is surprisingly good while still feeling incredibly lightweight on the skin. For me, it ended up being just a little too light of a shade, but that could be an easy fix with bronzer and blush to bring warmth back into my complexion. Overall, it’s comfortable to wear, looks natural, and is a fun product that performs better than I expected despite the “color-changing” claims. Oh, and like the other reviews, it came with the corner of it smashed. P.S.: the back of the box it came in has a cancer warning that has me just a little bit worried.
