This was the first time I've ordered a mattress in a box. I usually get them from a store where I can see/feel them, but an expensive mattress and box spring wasn't in my budget right now. The mattress arrived on time, was well packaged, and was easy to get in place. It's not too heavy, just bulky and awkward to maneuver. I'm 5'3" and 65 yrs old and got it inside and upstairs by myself. There was no smell, and it reached the full height in about 36 hours. I was worried that it might be too soft, but the mattress is really comfortable. It has just the right amount of firmness that I don't have pressure points on my hips and shoulders like my old gel foam mattress, which makes for pain free mornings. I can't speak to the cooling layer, as it has been very cold at night here, but it doesn't seem to be as warm as my old mattress. This is an excellent mattress for the price and for all the good qualities that come with this mattress. For the last 20 years I have slept on tempur-pedic mattresses. My last tempur-pedic mattress was like sleeping on heaven. It was very comfortable for me. When it was time to purchase a new mattress I thought I would try this one from Gaeste. Unlike the horrible smell a new tempur-pedic has this one barely had any smell to it. I was not able to just let the mattress lay out for 3 days like recommended by the Gaeste Company while it took on its full shape. I had nowhere to lay it out and I had no other mattress to sleep on so I did sleep on this mattress the first night and it was hard as rock. I thought what did I get myself into? The second night it got better and by the third night it was like sleeping on my tempur-pedic. You can barely tell the difference. The price that you would pay for a new tempur-pedic is close to 5 thousand dollars or more. I highly recommend this mattress. I purchased a 10" Queen size. Thank you Gaeste mattresses! ... show more

It's silent, no odor at all (despite the instruction sheet), very thick once fully relaxed from the box, and seems quite sturdy. Size is true to common measurements. Going to give this 4 because it promotes gel cooling. I’ve had this for a few months and cooling I don’t experience. Very much a hug your body kinda bed though. Firm yet comfy some how. I sleep like a baby! The mattress is perfect! Easy to unpack, inflated over night, not much of a smell mostly just the packaging smelt like a factory, perfect size, absolutely no noise you just melt into it.

I just moved and had to sleep on the floor until this arrived, so I was pretty annoyed when it didn't arrive on time and FedEX had no additional tracking on it for two extra days past that. But of course that's not the seller's fault and I have to tell you, they dealt with me professionally, quickly, and generously. There are so many sellers on Amazon who will take days to get back to you and effectively say nothing but "Oops. Sorry." I was impressed by their responsiveness and attitude. So, the mattress finally arrived, and of course I needed to wait a while longer for it to puff up to its 10 inches. I'm laying on it now typing and it is super comfortable. With all the fancier ones with quilted pads on top, I thought I'd probably have to buy a pad too, which I would not have minded because I got this on sale, but no. It's great just the way it is. I was initially concerned it was a little too soft when I first got on it, but a few minutes later that soft top later was molding to me and the underlying support became evident. I'm very happy with the mattress, even happier for the quality at this price, and glad I found a merchant who's worth giving the business. My partner and I absolutely LOVE this king sized mattress! It is vacuumed packed and in a box when received and has an outer layer of plastic that encloses the vacuumed packed mattress. As other review said, open mattress on top of platform frame because it is heavy. It fluffed up in a few hours but it did have a smell to it so we followed the instructions and left it untouched for 72 hours. As others have said, it is firm! And we love it! No more back aches! No more side-sleeping him aches! Not as cuddly when sleeping on the back as a softer mattress, but a topper will easily fix that! When looking at mattresses at a physical store previously, the sales person told us that if the memory foam mattress is too firm then you want to walk all over it until it softens up! We are not going to do this because we like the firmness but if you find yourself feeling like it is too firm, this solution makes sense to me because the memory foam does break down. Another thing I appreciate about the mattress is that the outer cover fits the mattress without the sewn creases in the wrong place. It looks perfect. As for the coolness factor... I don't think any mattress out there is cool enough for me. It does seem cooler than my previous mattress which was a hybrid, so maybe this one is cool. RECOMMEND! ... show more
