I bought this as a deterrent for thieves. They took my cell phone out of my truck. I plan on using it in a layered system with a motion sensing flood light and motion sensing alarm. The trip wires will be on the most inner part. I am also going to see if I can add some fireworks in there as well for a longer lasting effect. The flash bang may wake me up but only if I realize that is what woke me up. This way if I hear fireworks going off I will know exactly what it is. The thief may never come around again but I can use this for many things like camping in bear country and such. I will try and make a video of the fireworks using the flash bang as the ignition source if I remember and post it here. I noticed someone used Fiocchi 12 ga shotgun shells. I believe that particular shell is only to be used in a shotgun. A rifle and shotgun have a sealed combustion chamber where the shell goes. The only place for the pressure to escape is down the barrel. If I had to guess what happen was the pressure took the path of least resistance which in this persons case, was back torward the primer cap. The tripwire here should only use the type of ammo that goes in those plastic flare guns or made for trip wires. I bought my shells from two different company's on Amazon but I do not think Amazon can sell them any more. Orion safety hi proformance red flares and Fith Ops 129db bear deterrent are ones I got. Seems like a good device, and I did not realize until after I received it, that a person can choose to add 4 tripwires or 1 tripwire to the device. Since I'm giving them out to a couple of other campers, I created some instructions to go along with each device, since there were no adequate instructions that came with the device, in my opinion. Back when I was young, I used to create diagrams at a job I had, so the desire to create something similar has stayed with me, I guess! Needs to be put together... missing Instructions: I finally figure it out how to insert the Spring When the spring is inserted onto the shaft. You need to pull it back on the spring loaded T handle until you can insert the plate. The plate is then tight against the tip of the shaft. When the plate is pulled out the shaft springs down and the shaft tip hits the bullet striking pin. The spring needs to be adjusted with the nut so just enought hits the bullet pin. It is well made. Needs to be adjusted 4 stars because of the missing instructions. ... show more

SUPER!!!! For anyone who camps in the wilderness by themselves, this is an absolute must have item. You have to practice with it before you head into the sleeping bag, but it is really easy to set up. I bought a few small cabinet hooks for running the wire/string around trees. First night out it triggered before I even knew there was a critter close by. Scared both of us, but I reset and went back to a sound sleep. ... show more

This device works as a trip wire to warn you of an intruder around your perimeter (Campground, barn etc...) The device can be configured in multiple way for your piece of mind while you sleep. Trigger is sturdy and will not go off unless its activated. In other words, no false alarms

I bought one and set it up in various spots around outside perimeter. No shells just the alarm. It tripped and snapped everytime even at some weird angles. I bought a second now im buying a third. I got blanks flashbang and tear gas shells. Keep prepping

The firing pin does not pull back far enough so that the quad firing plate can slide in. The optional trigger pin does work. Maybe the firing pin is to long or its the spring that is not letting the firing pin go back far enough🤦♂️
