This plug is a universal fit for most trolling motor plugs. It is an 8 gauge wire, so it's better for motors with 80 lbs thrust or more, my 36 lbs thrust motor has 10 gauge wire so it's overkill for that. It comes with 4 wire clamps and 2 screws if you want to mount the receptacle plug on your boat - I use the trolling motor in an inflatable so I'll pass on that. I would have given it an additional star if the kit included heat shrinkable tubing for a more secure and watertight connection. ... show more

I needed to install one these on my plastic Jon boat for the trolling motor. This is such a time saver when installing and removing the trolling motor from the boat. Easy to install and mount. Heavy duty 10ga wire which will work with most middle sized to small sized trolling motors.

The plugs seem like a good solid product, but they are pretty stiff to insert and remove. Hopefully that loosens up. The wires and connections seem pretty solid, and expect they will last.

I have a 2 wire trolling motor and I wanted to be able to position it in 2 different locations (front of boat and back). The I got and 8 gauge for the front motor and this 10 gauge for the rear, since it's so much closer to the battery. Worked out great.

This motor plug quick connect kit works just as it should. Well made and easy to install and easy to use. Has a very tight and secure connection when plugged in. Really like the spring cover it has so water or dirt doesn't get into the plug. It also comes with some wire connectors so you can hook it up out of the box.
