These canvases work exactly as described. They come with all 10 canvases tightly stretched around a wooded frame, individually wrapped, with a nice quality cotton already primed for painting. The canvas takes paint smoothly. One minor complaint would be the thickness of the wooden frame. Other stretched canvases have a noticeably thicker frame that makes them look more noticeable when hanging on the wall. Overall, the canvases are high quality at a good price. The thickness of the frame is more of a preference, so if you want a mostly flat stretched canvas this can be a great option. ... show more

This set of ten (10) 11”x14” canvases at a practically miniscule price is an incredible bargain. When you consider that there is currently an option for an additional 20% Amazon coupon (at the time of this review) the bargain becomes even more incredible. With the starting price of $24.99 and using the coupon, your final price is only about $2.00 per stretched canvas. You can’t even find a decent stretched canvas at or near that price at a dollar store. I don’t think I have ever seen canvases of this size, quantity and quality at a price this affordable. And that’s quite a statement considering that I have been supplying my art school for more than a decade. This package has many pluses going for it as far as workmanship. These standard quality canvases are snuggly stretched and staple-mounted over pinewood frames, pearl white, and triple pre-primed. Getting 10 of these at a nearly rock-bottom price allows you to stock up and keep some dollars in your pocket so that you can purchase your paints and brushes and, perhaps, a snack or two (starving artists take note!). Peel off the protective cellophane and you are instantly presented with a crisp white canvas that doesn’t need additional gesso to prepare and you are ready to paint. The smooth surface takes your oil or acrylic paint smoothly and easily. The 100% cotton surface feels durable and long lasting. They can be used for any painting medium such as oils, acrylics, gouache, etc. Each canvas is acid free and pre-primed with an acrylic “plaster” so you can start painting right away. I’m not 100% certain that these canvases are actually pre-“plastered” because they feel as though they are primed with triple gesso. The “plaster” may or may not be a translation problem. Either way, however, they are definitely primed and great for easy painting. I was able to brush up a quick acrylic painting without any preparation and it fully dried within the hour. The quality of this set, as mentioned earlier, is average or standard. These are not high quality professional surfaces. Don’t let that dissuade you from acquiring these because the quality is still very good. They are great for beginners, novices, students, amateurs and studio painters. This comes with ten canvas for painting. They are well made. They do not have a hanging mechanic so you will need to add one. Great activity for kids and adults. I would recommend.

These canvas get the job done. My only recommendation is that you air them out before painting on them, as they have a very strong scent. Also be careful what surfaces you put them on, the staples scraped my table something bad. Great value for large canvases!

Calling these stretched canvases "Professional" is a bit of a stretch, but they are still great quality for the price. I picked up the 11x14 canvases to do some pours on, and they fit my need nicely. They come pre-gessoed (primed), which saves me some time and effort before I can make art. The wooden frame feels a bit on the flimsy/thin side - but as long as you're not globbing paint on thick, they hold up fine. I think these work great for practicing, or just letting your imagination go wild. If you mess up, you still have 9 more to work with! ... show more
