I found this a bit tricky to attach the lines , the instructions are not great. If I had not had a lot of experience in plumbing and such I'm not sure I could have installed it. I had to go buy 1/2 to 3/8 line adapters and that worked out. This comes with a drain line from the pressure relief valve that I found out I had to install it and drill a hole to run it out because it drips a bit no matter what I did, nothing major just a drop or two here and there but would cause problems if it were not installed and routed outside. As of now it's been in a while , it heats very fast and holds the temperature amazingly well and it gets scalding hot with no problem. I hope it lasts a long time. The temp. dial has no set markings on it so you have to just learn where to turn it in order to be on the desired temp. marking it with a marker or something. ... show more

I read all the reviews on this water heater. Seems like some people love it, some loathe it. Normally I don’t buy things with polarizing reviews, however I liked the design and the ability to adjust it as well as its simplicity. I am using it as a supplemental heater for my kitchen sink as the sink is the farthest point from the main water heater and it’s at least one minute of running water before it gets hot. That’s wasteful so I wanted to try this heater out. I’ll start off by saying this heater is on the cheaper side, quality wise. The fittings they provide are almost pot metal and they feel light which is not a good sign with metal plumbing fittings. Right out of the gate, I tossed their fittings and their pressure line. They only provide you with one line and it’s braided but very flimsy. The slightest twist and it will kink! No thanks! Just know that right out of the gate, you will need to go to the hardware store. If you are connecting it to your sink like I did, you will need the following: Male to male 1/2” NPT about 2” long * 1/2” Female to 3/8 male shut off valve * 1/2” Female to 3/8 Female braided sink hose * 1/2” Female to 1/2” Female braided sink hose (this replaces their cheap one) Disconnect your faucet hot water line from your shut off valve. This assumes your valve has a 3/8 compression fitting like most. Connect the 1/2” to 3/8 braided line from the “cold water inlet” nipple on the tank to your hot water valve. Connect the 1/2” female to 1/2” female braided line from the “hot water outlet” nipple on the tank to the 1/2” male pipe nipple. Connect the other end of the pipe nipple to your 1/2” by 3/8 water valve. Now connect your faucet line to this water valve and turn the valve so that it is open. Use pipe thread tape for all of the 1/2” stuff. Do NOT use it on any of the 3/8 compression fittings please. You will cause a leak. Once this is all done, then turn on your hot water valve and let the tank fill. Once that is done, plug it in and enjoy! I’ll come back and reduce stars if the tank dies! ... show more

    • FIRE HAZARD DO NOT BUY!!!!!
I am a licensed contractor and this unit is very easy to install. It did not last 10 months when it quit working. I looked around for a reset button and saw that there was a whole burnt in the side of the unit. I took the cover off and looked and one of the wires got so hot it burned in half and melted the cover. There is no where to find product support or contact seller when I researched the site. Do not buy this product it is junk and did not even last 11 months and I feel like it easily could have started a fire.. I repeat do not buy fire hazard! ... show more

i love the ease of install, and use, i dont care for the wide degree of temp for it to turnthe heat back o. It clicks on at 139 and off at 171. Way too much space in between. good for economy ,bad for needing hot hot water. When its on 171 its good, at 139 its just warm. needs a closer thermostat adjustment ... show more

It works well in heating up the water but the install lines are not normal. I had leaks and leaks on each hot and cold inlet and outlet. Had to spend even more money on buying conversion lines to fit the 1/2 in lines on the heater. It’s been months since I bought it and I’ve been so put off by it that I just don’t use it.     • Perfect for my need
I purchased this under-sink water heater as there was no hot water line to my guest bathroom sink. I hired someone to install it, including an electrical outlet under the sink, and it was completed in less than 30 minutes. I've only had it for about a month and so far it is perfect to provide needed hot water. It is compact enough that I can still keep towels and cleaning supplies under the sink with it. it has a small tank so it runs out of really hot water fairly quickly, but that is to be expected because of the small tank... water can get scalding hot !!!... heats up again fairly quickly though...
