This is something I didn't think I needed until I got it. I use it to load my snow thrower into the bed of my truck so I don't have to lift it up in there. Work smarter, not harder! It does go slow, but it works like a charm. I really like the long cord for the controller so I can manuever the thrower as it goes up my ramp if I need to. I think it pulls too much power to use the built-in outlet in my truck but I am going to try it, and extra points if it works. It will be even more convenient if this is the case...

Not going up only down works, After all this they reach out to me about the situation and work with me to have a replacement, after they finally replaced the unit by shipping another unit to my address.

This is a very well priced 1/2 ton hoist. It has a steel braided wire rope, large steel mounting hook and lifting hook, includes a nylon woven strap to attach item you are lifting, a wired remote as well as a wireless remote. The wireless remote requires an A23 battery (a miniature 12 volt) which is not included, and it is lacking a pair of ear protection earmuffs. I only say that because this hoist is LOUD. It definitely gets the job done, but it doesn't do it quietly. I give it a 3 star rating. I'd say the decibel level is probably over 100dB, if not over its just under. The wireless remote is a nice feature
