I purchased these to tackle an outdoor railing refinishing project. The paint started peeling and I wanted to go back and start with a fresh coat of primer. Sanding was taking forever, so I started searching for another solution and found these. I’m glad I did. These are very aggressive and stripped the paint off in a hurry. Also, it’s simple to use the edges to get into tighter spots. They don’t last very long, but while they last, they work well. Went through 3 packages! Had to repaint the entire exterior of the house and the paint was peeling but wouldn’t scrap off. Wood was very rough with texture. These disks were the only thing that helped!!

    • Works great and cheaper than local stores
These are way cheaper than the ones you can get at your local hardware store and do the same job. As mentioned in other reviews you will burn through them fast depending on the project, so buying a 10 pack is well worth it. Note that these can’t be screwed directly in place, so use the spacer/washer and nut that came with your angle grinder. ... show more

They are coarse and durable as expected. There is no specified grip value but they are pretty coarse. Bought and used to quickly strip old layers of peeling paint from my cracked wood roof fascia so I could paint before a rain/snow storm and freezing temperatures. I used them on a DeWalt 4.5in angle grinder. For that purpose 6in would have been better, faster, and flatter. Wear a dust mask. Excpect to be covered in dust unless it's windy which is better but you still get swirling wind around a house. I sanded 50ft with one wheel and it's still going, maybe 30% worn down with a rolled edge. It took a light touch and long strokes to keep from grinding down to much wood. I had to go back over the fascia with 60 grit and 120 grit on an orbital sander. It did grind the drip edge quite a bit so I had to be careful and get beneath it with a 6in orbital sander. I filled in cracks with Bondo. This was the fastest, cheapest way I could come up with. Doing it while re-roofing without the drip edge would have been ideal. ... show more

Amazingly good value. Removed this extremely bad rust that previously was only coming off with a hard wheel. This stripping disc cut the time in half plus left a much smoother finish. Can’t wait to see what it’ll do on wood. Very durable. Good quality.

I bought these because my usual brand is twice as expensive. I found out why. These cause lots of vibration. I might get use out of them but will need to use at a lower speed or with an already trashed grinder.

It helps at my job in the steel shop to quickly strip paint and rust. It's not the first time I purchase these. They wear pretty fast depending on usage but it's worth the $ to make any job easier.
