These are not like the ones you get from pharamacist with a prescription or even like what you’d get with a kids’ over the counter liquid medicine. Those I can wash in the dishwasher but these after 1-2 washes, then they warp in such a way that either the black rubber piece will get stuck at the bottom or somehow the plunger becomes too big for syringe. I don’t know how to explain. Just know, they work well on the first try but you really cannot reuse them until you hand wash them. ... show more

Great syringe but not sure if I would buy again for my toddler the syringe is a bit think for his little mouth so I am using a thinner one now that isn't as daunting.

Doesn’t leak, great draw suction. The ONLY downside is that the thickness of the syringe is too large for some bottles so we need to pour into a separate container to draw.

I’m a retired veterinarian. I’ve handled a lot of syringes. I wanted to have syringes around for oral dosing if my pets, working on cars, etc. These syringes work great and are reasonably priced

    • Perfect for giving kids medicine
My kids get sick a lot and often need Tylenol and Advil for fever for a few days at a time. These syringes are great because: 1) They don't cost a lot so you can use a new one for each dose of meds. Therefore, 2) They keep the bottle of meds clean and uncontaminated because it's a new syringe for each dose. 3) They precisely measure meds. Those little cups that come with the box are useless and not accurate and I feel half of it stays left in the cup unadministered. 4) So smooth and easy to press the plunger that kids can do it themselves. 5) It's fun for kids to use so it's an incentive to get them to take meds even if they normally refuse it. 6) The fact that it's a syringe means that you can even give to a kid when they are half asleep and lying down (which you can't do with a dosing cup or spoon) 7) Easily washable if you want to actually wash them and reuse but I don't. 8) pairs very well with the Brandzig bottle adapters so you can draw out medicine even when the bottle is not full. As you can see, I'm a big fan. On my second box of these - they last a while!! ... show more

    • Tip can be inserted into a button type feeding tube.
I should have reviewed these years ago! There is one advantage to these over the BD syringes. These particular syringes have a tip small enough in diameter to use to directly administer medications into my AMT Mini One low profile feeding tube. Therefore, no extension set needed. I use them for dissolved tablet medications, and also for water to flush after a meal. The slight disadvantage is they don’t send caps with them, and the BD caps don’t fit. I think, but am not certain that the Squirrel Store sells little bead shaped caps that will work, but, honestly, it’s been too long since I’ve had those caps to say for certain. However, the red needle covers that come with the veterinary UltiCare U-40 insulin syringes fit as caps perfectly. I discovered this quite by accident, due to having a diabetic dog. Other than lack of caps, which aren’t particularly needed anyway, I’ve had no problems with these. ... show more

My daughter use to take liquid medicine everyday. I hated handwashing her syringes everyday, so I bought these disposable! It's so nice to just toss after she's done with them. There are so many in the box that we didn't even make it through all of them before she learned to swallow a pill!
