Great entry level truck at this price point & tons of fun. These Traxxas trucks will take a beating & keep coming back for more! A friend of the family has a couple of these & now everyone has one! We all bought different colored trucks so when we get together it easier to know who is who. I ended up buying 2 more 3500 mah batteries & a dual charger from a local hobby shop & each one lasts about 1/2 an hour. I will be buying the widemaxx kit soon that widens the truck suspension a 1/2" on each side for a little more stability when turning. In sand & gravel it turns very well without tumbling but in grass it can be a little harder so the widemaxx kit should help with that. This truck has tons of torque & will wheelie very easily but there is also a wheelie bar kit for it also that I might get. I usually go to a park that has a sandy infield baseball diamond & a lightly graveled parking lot which makes for a lot of fun but gets the truck very dirty so have some cleaning to do but definitely worth it. For $270 these will not disappoint just buy it!!! ... show more

    • DONT BUY. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK TRAXXAS.
Nothing "maxx" at all about this turd of a rc. Out of box you barely touch the throttle and this thing flops all over like a fish out of water. You have to buy and install the wide kit. Which a actual MAXX comes preinstalled with, to even make this over priced garbage even drivable. Even then this thing tires po s over so often you'd think it was a mini stampede. But that would be insulting to stampede. The battery slot is just small enough to not fit a zeee 4 or 5k battery. Run time is like 15 min. This thing is SO heavy that the bl2s motor barely gets it any air and when it does it instantly nose dives from the weight. It's unbalanced. There's nothing maxx or monster truck about this. My hbx 903a and hbx 2996a were much better investments and better in almost every way. Sure the mini "whatever this is" is better built and has better quality parts. But when all added upto the hbxs out perform this and are just way more fun for way less money. Maybe if traxxas would have taken the maxx moniker and built this like theydid the mini xrt it would be worthy of the maxx name. As it is I feel completely ripped off by traxxas on this mini "TURD" of a rc. IT SUCKS. ITS NOT FUN. DONT BUY IT. ... show more

the stock servo broke in 4 days all though was bashing it pretty hard overall though good quality. Battery last a long time. Speed very good. Good value, at least you can get parts and upgrades for it. Very fun to use, only thing is it rolls over very eady

Ive had the mini maxx for at-least 8 months now and it is a little beast. I honestly don’t know why it gets so much hate, but you get what you pay for on this. Very durable and is built like a tank while still being able to be fast. This thing will not break! Its outlasted my UDR.
