While I didn't expect this ice bath to work at the level of the very expensive baths, I had hoped that it would at least be insulated well enough to hold temperature in our cool temperatures here in Alaska. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. The material is thicker than the other ice bath I got a few months ago (which has literally fallen apart) but it still feels as if there is no insulation between the walls of the inner & outer tub lining. I have a really good ice bath thermometer so getting the bath to temperature is easy enough but once my son or I get in the bath, the temperature changes rapidly & it is difficult to get it back down to the proper temperature for a therapeutic ice bath. At least the lid on this one fits well. I don't recommend this ice bath. If it can't hold the cold temperature needed to be therapeutic in outdoor temperatures that do not exceed 60 degrees right now, I don't think it is worth wasting your time or money on. Save up & buy one of the expensive ice baths if you are serious about using this therapy method.

The HyberVital 106 Gallon Ice Cold Bathtub is easy to set up despite the instructions being confusing. On the instructions, it shows a black bathtub using plastic pipes around the top edge. And although my bathtub is black, it did not come with these plastic tubes, which I didn't need. The legs that you insert around the outside are sturdy. Although one of them is missing a cap, which makes it sharp and possibly will cause a puncture in time. The inflatable tool works very well; it's easy to inflate the rim of the tub and the rim of the " pillow insert." One con is that when you're sitting in the tub, you're directly on the ground. There should be a fully inflatable pillow that you can sit on. That would be a nice improvement. The tub is 32" in diameter, which is more than enough room. At 30" high, it may be a little tall for some to climb into. But it's easy to fill and has no leaks. It's super compact and comes with a carrying case. It did come with a few small holes in it that so far doesn't cause any issues. The tub feels semi-sturdy but would be better if there were about 4 more plastic legs around the outside.
