i wanted to take moment to review this product. i broke the needle in my sewing machine working on this bag and needed to replace it. i always check out reviews myself because i find it helpful to know how things worked out from someone who actually has the product. these little needles are fabulous! i was a little skeptical because the price was almost too good to be true. they arrived packaged so nicely in a little storage box and there were little vials with stoppers to store them in. everything was labeled and it was so easy to get them all organized. the true test was a small bag that i was making out of an extremely heavy vintage quilt and i also made the strap by basically sewing two bias tapes that i made together (there were two double folded pieces of fabric together). i used a number 16 (for heavy fabrics, cotton, denim etc) and it went through every layer without a single hitch! i am so happy with these sewing machine needles and the value is unbelievable, so many for such a low price. when prices are low i am wary that what i am buying is not going to be a good value. this little set is worth every penny! ... show more

Who knows how many needles I've broken over the years? A LOT. I recently sewed 100 dog coats and 20 dog beds for the SPCA shelter nearby. I used fleece and flannel so you wouldn't think needles would break ... but break they did! I went through every needle in my sewing kit in about 3 weeks. I found this set of 100 machine needles on Amazon for a great price. I didn't know anything about them or what the different numbers on them meant. I just wanted to be able to reach my goal of 100 dog coats and 20 beds! These needles are terrific. I went online to learn about the numbers. Basically, the numbers correlate with the thickness of the fabric you're sewing. The thicker the fabric the higher the needle number to sew it. Easy peasy! I finished my donation project. I broke a few more needles in the process but I have a healthy supply to have on hand for quite some time (hopefully). ... show more

    • Best sewing machine needles I have ever used. I've been sewing 50 years.
These sewing machine needles just saved me from going out and buying a heavy duty sewing machine. The New brother sewing machine I just purchased wasn't sewing thou the thick materials plus the iron on interfacing I am using, I get out 2 of my OLD machines that have always sewn well thou layers even the iron on interfacing, with the right size needle, not this time! Like I said, I was ready to get a Heavy duty. Then I purched these sewing machine needles, I put in a 100/16, in the new Brother to see how it would sew, it was like a hot knife thou butter!!! I even tripled the layers of meterial, all I can say, I'm once again having a good time SEWING!! Even thou this order of sewing machine needles will last me many years, I'm ordering more! ... show more

Awesome product! Each set of needle came clearly labeled in its individual thick plastic pouch. This pack included appropriately labeled containers to store the needles, 3 metal bobbins, and a storage container for everything!

    • I can confidently recommend these needles.
Some of the negative reviews said that these needles break easy and skip stitches, so I was hesitant to buy them, but I decided to give them a try. I have only used size 18 so far, and really put it to the test, sewing through layers of heavy denim and Levi seems, over zippers, and through Velcro. I typically break needles when I sew through several layers of denim going over seams that intersect, but didn’t have a problem with this needle. And the stitches typically skip when sewing on Velcro, but once again, no problem with this needle. I hit the heavy duty zipper three times. The first time it stopped the machine, but the needle seemed fine, the second time it bent the needle, and I bent it back. The third time it finally broke the needle, which I would have expected it to do the first time with even an expensive needle. So, I was impressed. I only used one needle so far, and it was the largest, but if the other sizes are as good as this one, I can confidently recommend these needles. And, I love the little vile cases that come with them to store them in. ... show more

Sturdy, durable, nice and smooth eye and needle itself and doesn't rip the thread or fabric. Very satisfying results for all types of fabric that I used.
