These unfinished wood blocks are okay. The blocks are useful and will do for the usual crafts. There are some inconsistencies in the cut. Which means some are shorter than others. You can notice this by laying the pack on a table. It is not terrible and there will always be irregularities in wood, but this may be a little more than is found from other companies. Some of the edges are a little jagged. This is unfinished wood but there are other companies producing unfinished wood blocks with squared edges and minimal ragged or saw-toothed edges. These blocks will work for crafts and are safe enough to be used as building blocks for children. There is nothing seriously wrong with them and perhaps I am nitpicking but that is what you need me to do. Here is the bottom line: the price for these may be more per block. I’ve ordered 3 bags of these for my kids summer school project and 50% of these were this awful burned color or the corners were broke off and they were no longer square. Would’ve returned if I didn’t need to use them ASAP.

I knew these blocks would be unfinished but I was a little disappointed at how rough they still were. Each block needed to be sanded before they could be painted.
