I bought 2 of these before realizing it doesn't handle 1/3 rated power without getting too hot to touch. The 1/0 wire is sinking the heat and reading 104F 1 foot away at the inverter drawing 80 amps. I measured the voltage entering the breaker at 2% higher than exiting. I will be putting these on the do not buy list and look for a replacement. Update: 3/5/2024 - Power outage, pulling a recorded 167 amps for 3 minutes and the breakers trip. Power factor was 1.0 as it was from a resistive load. Both that I purchased are highly over rated. 300 amp breaker not only gets over 105F with 80 amps but trips after 3 minutes at just over 1/2 it's rating. This can work for someone with a 50 amp load that wants a fast reaction at 300 amps and a slow reaction at 150 amps. If that isn't what you are looking for, these are not for you. Both are going in the trash, I'll never purchase this style of breaker again as every one of these DC high amp breakers I've purchased overheat and fall well under their rated amperage. I took the risk with China junk and I lost again. Others here are 2-3 times the cost, like bus bars, and they handle the power.. Unlike this, now trash..

Our 24v 100 amp hour lifepo4 battery isn't supposed to be charged above 1c, and I like to keep it around 0.8c to make sure it's well within bounds. I added this breaker to insure we never accidentally exceed the charging power. So far so good!

This is a nice little breaker - more compact than some and easy to mount. The reset lever is easy to see and easy to reset - The terminal posts do have a bit of a divider between them to help prevent stray strands or moisture from crossing between the terminals. The mounting screw between them is nicely recessed to protect it. Its hard to verify the precise trip rating or load curves but I will be using it as a protection breaker and not usually drawing anywhere near its rated capacity. For that, it should be fine. It does come with some mounting screws and a pair of uninsulated lugs - nice to include but I will probably use insulated lugs that I know I have the correct crimper for - Lugs are required. With exposed terminal studs, this does need to be in a protected location - its not a switch - but seems to be a good fit for my small solar project.
