This hammock was a lifesaver! As none of my four dogs love having their nails trimmed and to make things worse my Goats don’t like it either! So in order to save our backs from bending over and holding down large dogs and fat goats, we decided to give this a try. The material is soft and durable and quite honestly there’s nothing like having a goat hanging 5 feet in the air and falling asleep while you’re trimming its hoofs. However, I will say getting the animals in place to put their feet through the holes is a bit of a challenge, but Nilla wafers work very well. This is definitely cut down on trimming time. It’s a lot less stressful. And has definitely been an added luxury to have on the farm. Now, if I can find trimmers that work just as well, I’d be all set.

Great Grooming Helper for Big Dogs! I was skeptical at first, but this XL Dog Grooming Hammock turned out to be a huge help with trimming my large dog’s nails. He usually squirms a lot during grooming, but this sling helped keep him calm and safely restrained, making the whole process quicker and less stressful—for both of us! The material feels sturdy and comfortable, and it held up well even with my 80-pound dog. Setup was fairly simple, and the included hooks worked great with my grooming stand. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it takes a bit of effort to get your dog into the harness the first few times, especially if they’re not used to it. But once they’re in, it really does make grooming a lot easier. Definitely recommend it for large dog owners!

I like that this is a softer, pliable material. I had a different one before that was stiff and it seemed to cut into my cocker spaniel. I use to trim toenails and feet. In the summer I use outside and winter I rigged up a pole to use in my laundry room. I can't say my dog is ecstatic about it, but minimal fuss. Less stress on both of us!

The media could not be loaded. Our rescue pup Nandi had been easy to groom for years, as I had trimmed his nails with clippers and a rotary Dremel type tool. A few years ago, after picking him up from boarding, we decided to get his nails done…and he had a traumatic nail session at the groomers. Since then, he has only had his nails done while under anesthesia at the vet (which is risky for a brachiocephalic dog - Nandi is part English bulldog). We saw the dog grooming hammock and assumed it was only for small dogs, and were delighted to see it came in an appropriate size for our 2 65 pound pitbulls. I started by bathing him and scrubbing his feet to get more comfortable and soften his nails. Hoisting him up on the clothing rack (which can hold up to 600 pounds) was the real trick because we were laughing so much. He didn’t love the experience, but he tolerated the nail trimming with the distraction of peanut butter. The clippers that came with the grooming package were fantastic and have a metal guard on them so you cannot cut too much off with each pass. Thank you for this great (and hilarious) solution to our dog grooming needs. Nandi was not too upset during or after his treatment and snuggled up with us for comfort. Thank you for helping us support the wellbeing of our beloved pups!
