I love these blankets! I bought the smallest blankets when we brought home our new kittens. The blankets are so soft, and the size was perfect for our babies. Our male cat must have been taken from his momma too soon since he nurses with these blankets. Yes, the first size is small. It states the demonsions so there should be no surprise when you receive them. Also, they do have the design on only one side, but it is just as soft as the side that has the design. They are very durable. They have been washed many times in the 1.5 years we have had him. He uses the same blanket on a daily basis, and it is in fantastic shape. It has not faded, riped, or snagged. He sucks on it and makes biscuits with his claws, and there has been no visible wear after 1.5 years. I just bought two more packs. I did get the next size up since they are not kittens anymore, and they would be a larger size for their carriers. The quality of these blankets is remarkable for the price paid.
