I love the T-Rail system because I can use so many different accessories and it is universal. That is why this fish finder, electronic mount works so well. I have numerous T-Rails on my kayak, and I primarily use them for camera mounting for different angles and shots. The length and size of this mount aalong with the ease of installation, and portability, makes it perfect. I can put it on anything that has a T-rail, and I can mount a T-rail on just about anything. As a budget RAM-compatible mount kit, the design is right. You get the 1-inch ball hardware, a roughly six-inch tensioned arm, both a round base and a rectangular AMPS plate, plus a threaded ball and a T-bolt ball for track systems, so it drops into most kayak and boat rail setups and works with any 1-inch RAM, Arkon, or iBolt components you already own. When it's tightened down it holds an angle well and doesn't creep, and the anodized finish looks clean. At the price it undercuts name-brand RAM by a good margin, and it's versatile enough that people are using it for cameras and desk gadgets, not just fish finders. Where it falls short is consistency. It's a touch lightweight, and while plenty of units hold up fine, there's a real thread of durability complaints, including one that broke within a few fishing trips. That's the kind of thing that matters when it's suspending an expensive electronic over water. Mine has been solid so far, but the failure rate is high enough that I can't call it fully dependable. If you want RAM-style adjustability on a budget and don't mind that it's a bit of a gamble on longevity, it's a good value. For a critical, permanent saltwater install where failure means losing gear overboard, I'd spend more on the real thing.

This marine fish finder mount works well and feels very sturdy. The aluminum construction gives it a solid, heavy duty build that holds up nicely on the water. It locks in tight, so your electronics stay right where you set them without slipping or bouncing around. Having both the track base option and the multi pattern top plate makes it really versatile for mounting different screen sizes or camera gear. If you need a reliable, strong ball mount for your boat or kayak setup, this one does a great job.

This is a ball mount that is 1 inch in size. And comes with a lot of accessories. There are two plates, one is round and the other is a large rectangular plate. There are also two additional add on 1 inch balls. One has a ¼ 20 stud on it and the other has a “T” bolt on the end. The “T” bolt is designed to be used on a track mount. The large plate works well to mount electronic devices such as a fish finder. If the ball with the ¼ 20 stud is used on the end, you now have a ¼ 20 mounting point. You can even use it to attach cameras or anything with a female ¼ 20/

I got this mount for my fish finder, mostly because I was tired of constantly adjusting my setup and hoping everything stayed where I put it. Fishing is supposed to involve chasing fish, not chasing loose electronics around the kayak. The installation was pretty straightforward, and it fit nicely into my kayak's track system. Once everything was tightened down, the mount felt solid and secure. I've been out on the water a few times now, including some less-than-glassy conditions, and my fish finder stayed exactly where it was supposed to. The ball mount design makes adjusting the viewing angle easy, which is great because apparently I spend half my time looking for fish and the other half trying to avoid glare on the screen. A quick adjustment and problem solved. I also like that it's compatible with different devices and RAM components. It's one of those products that feels like it was designed by people who understand that outdoor gear setups tend to evolve over time. Today's fish finder mount somehow becomes tomorrow's camera mount or other gadget holder. Overall, it's not the flashiest thing I've ever bought, but it does exactly what it's supposed to do. It securely holds an expensive electronic device over a body of water, which is honestly a job with surprisingly high stakes. So far, it's passed that test with flying colors, and my fish finder has remained safely above the water instead of becoming part of the fish habitat.
