I could not be happier with this coolant mister. This was extremely easy to plumb up with some additional 3D printed parts for a coolant container and pressure regulator and some air parts from the local hardware store. The coolant container is probably two feet below level of the coolant mister manifold but with the regulator set for about 50 psi it had no problem picking up the lubricant/water mist solution. I also added a ball valve to the air feed supply so I can shut off the whole thing once I get the air/lubricant mix the way I want it. This is a great buy!

I have this set up on my 12"-24" lathe. I made a mount and bolted it to cross slide. It works great and moves with the cutter that way. There isn't much adjustment in the low end. I have to fiddle with it to get just a touch of mist and air. I may try and add some restriction to the pipe to reduce flow and hopefully give me more adjustment range. It's convenient with the parts included. I run mine at 40 psi. No leaks.

After receiving the item, purchased a fitting and 1/4” tubing. Set it up and tried it; WORKED PERFECTLY!! Took about 10 minutes to set it up. The $150 Koolmist unit I bought did not work at all; returned it. Highly recommend this item, very pleased so far.

This is a solid unit, and the valves for air and coolant work well. It's easy to adjust the valves to get the mixture you want, unlike others I have used. The hole optil s for the magnet we on the sides instead of the middle, my only complaint.

The media could not be loaded. I picked this coolant mister up for my manual lathe, and I'm genuinely impressed with the build quality and performance for the price. The metal version feels very solid in the hand and yet is still easy to position. The magnetic base is plenty strong and stays put exactly where you need it on the machine. Setup was straightforward. I had it plumbed into my air supply and running in about 10 minutes with just a few common fittings. The adjustments seem fine but their range is deceptive. Only about 1 turn worth of movement actually changes anything despite being able to turn them repeatedly. This does make it somewhat hard to dial in but it's only something you really need to do once so I'm not removing any stars for it. In use, it's a fantastic upgrade. It delivers a fine mist right to the cutting edge, which is much cleaner than a typical flood coolant pump. I get all the benefits of cooling and lubrication without flinging cutting fluid all over my shop, which is always a problem on a lathe. It does an excellent job of clearing chips and addressing heat buildup when taking heavy cuts. I’ve already noticed a better surface finish on my workpieces and my inserts are definitely lasting longer. For anyone with a home workshop, this is a fantastic and dependable addition to your setup. Highly recommend it.

This coolant mister has proven to be a dependable addition to my workshop for tasks like milling and drilling. I’ve found it particularly useful when working with tougher materials, as it effectively addresses the issue of heat buildup that can quickly dull cutting tools. Setting it up was straightforward, involving a connection to my air supply and a reservoir for the cutting fluid. Adjusting the air and fluid flow took a few minutes to fine tune, but once set, it consistently delivers a fine mist right to the cutting edge, resulting in noticeably cleaner finishes on my workpieces. The magnetic base provides a secure attachment to my machine, and the flexible metal hose holds its position well, directing the mist precisely where needed. I did encounter some minor seepage at one of the connections initially, which required a bit of extra tightening. However, given the improved tool longevity and enhanced surface quality I’m now achieving, this mister offers good value. It's a functional piece of equipment that certainly streamlines my machining operations.
