We bought the item because the bearing was was flush with the rubber. We found that the bearing protruded beyond the rubber, not as shown in the marketing pictures, making it difficult to use and likely to cause damage.

I've been doing an EPDM roof on my commercial building and using this as a seam roller. The roof is about 20 square (2000 sq ft) which is a pretty large project for my son and I. I had been using a wooden roller that was only about $3.00 cheaper than this one. This one is so much better it's hard to even imagine. When I was a roofer I dropped this exact roller from the very peak of the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis where the Minnesota Vikings play. It was a complete accident and luckily nobody was hurt. I was looking for a roller to install teak veneer. I found the exact same tool at our local hardware store it was priced a little too high and didn't purchase it. After a couple of days I went back to purchase it and it was sold so I started the internet search. This is the exact same tool at over a 30% savings under the hardware store price. It's a rugged, quality tool with a roller position that allows rolling next to tight edges. I used the roller yesterday to roll down some self-adhesive roofers tape. It felt sturdy, rolled very well and was easily maneuverable. The roller itself was high quality silicone with an ideal hardness.
