  • This is an Awesome car!
Size: 1/12 Color: Red
My first impression on opening the box was that this is a nicely done 1/12 Rally car; it has a 2845 3600KV brushless motor fitted with a nice finned clip on heatsink (no fan), a separate 35A brushless ESC with fan, and what looks very similar to a MEUS M-06AT receiver+gyro tucked away inside the receiver box. The transmitter looks like a HotRC clone with LED indications of the car's LiPo battery level (via telemetry) plus lights and gyro status - all great features. The drive train and differentials are all metal and the wheels and tires are good quality (glued) and gave excellent grip on paved road; they are standard 65mm with 12mm hex hubs so replacements are easy to find for around $20 or less for a set of 4 on Amazon. Minor nitpicks are that the car's on off switch is positioned such that you have to remove the shell to get to and operate it, the toggle fasteners for the shell are awkward to operate with normal fingers, and the LED wiring flops around inside the shell giving the potential for it to catch on the wheels (I secured the wires using a low temp hot glue gun - see pics), and the wires from the ESC to the shell LED PCB are maybe 30mm too short making it a bit tight to plug them in/out. I own a Rlaarlo 1/10 XTS F10 Rally Car and this is like its little brother and, I think, up to the same high build standard mechanically and better in regard to the radio system components. The oil filled shocks seemed correctly set up and the single supplied 3S 2200mAh LiPo showed 5mΩ internal cell resistances which is pretty good. It also came with a single 18650 size, 1500mAh LiPo cell for the transmitter and a USB A-C charging cable that plugs into the TX for charging - and red LED indicates charging and it turns green once done. As is typical with all these cars, you get a USB charge cable for the main LiPo but it takes a long time to charge and they're sometimes inaccurate on the target end voltages so I recommend getting a dedicated LiPo charger for charge speed and safety. I read the manual which has the basics covered in slightly wonky English and there's a multi-page parts diagram which is nice. Driving it is a blast and will bring a smile to your face. On power up, everything was bound properly, the battery voltage % was presented on the TX, and everything moved in the right direction. The tiny ESC fan was a bit noisy but not an issue once I took the car outside. The LED lights were off by default although the tailpipe, turn, and brake lights all worked by default. I trimmed the steering slightly and noted that the gyro was active by twisting the car and seeing the steering react. At first I thought the speed was OK but nothing near the claimed 50 mph - then I found the 3 position speed switch was set on low! The fast setting was incredible, definitely not for beginners, but the gyro did its job and helped stop spinouts. Unless I'm trying for a speed test run, I suspect I'll drive this car on the middle setting for normal use and that is plenty fast enough, even for racing. I drove the car a long way away, maybe 200ft, and the radio link was fine. With a fully charged 2200 3S LiPo, I got about 20 minutes - 5 on high and 15 on medium speed - before the 25% LED on the TX started flashing but the battery was still at 3.85V per cell and I put less than 1000mAh back into it after charge. It's better to not drain LiPos down too low but 25 minutes run time is very good for such a high performance vehicle. If I'm right about the receiver's heritage, it should have the ability to adjust the gyro gain/sensitivity from the TX. I should be able to bind it to my HotRC CT-10B transmitter and be able to control the gyro's sensitivity. Having said that, the TX and gyro worked just fine with the settings it has out of the box and buyers need not worry about this aspect. I did notice the wheels catching on the shell a tiny bit in tight turns so I will trim the wheel arches a little, I will also probably extend the wiring and reposition the on/off switch to be just behind the shell on one side. In summary, this 1/12 Rally Car is excellent quality, very well priced, tons of fun to drive, and highly recommended. ... show more

  • Almost as good as a traxxas rc.
Size: 1/12 Color: Red
I can not believe at how good this rc is and have had traxxas rc cars before. Fast fun and durable I have been playing with mine inside my apartment going way to fast and have had many of times I thought yeah something definitely broke this time and to my surprise the only thing that has broke on it is a mirror that's I could not be any more impressed. The only thing is the battery life is kinda short I would guess around 30 minutes when you are playing hard but you can by better batteries that will last longer. This is the best RC for the money I love this car. ... show more

  • Awesome RC
Size: 1/12 Color: Blue
First 5 minutes of ownership, I crashed it causing it to roll over a couple times which caused one of the front A-arms to break. Plastic is kind of weak and easy to break, but as long it’s kept in a straight line and not crashing or rolling over your good. Aside from that the car is quick and a blast to drive. ... show more

  • Cool RC drift car
Current price was 100, and at that price this is a great RC for an adult. I have several RC cars, boats, and aircraft and for what you get at this price point with this RC, it is a great deal. Lot of upgraded aluminum parts, oil filled coil-over shocks, working lights (turn signals, brake lights), and extra stickers for customizing the nice hard shell. It has metal drive-line, aluminum chassis, quality plastic, excellent suspension, and a powerful motor/ESC combo. It has plenty of weight with a low center of gravity to keep all 4 wheels firmly planted on the ground for drifting. It is fast, faster than most people will need, especially someone new to RC's. The lights are a great add-on, the turn signals blink as you turn left or right, the brake lights light up when you stop, the reverse lights come one when you back up, and the tail pipe lights up when you slow down to mimic tail pipe pops. I like that there is a fan included on the ESC to help keep it cool. While the included manual does have some information, it really should have a lot more, like showing which plugs the wire from the chassis are supposed to be plugged into on the shell. I little bit more explanation of the different buttons on the remote and what they do exactly. What the extra wire that was included with the tools is for. The exploded view of all of the parts is nice. The remote base is a little on the small side, it would be nice if it was larger so the remote would stand up. The section that is supposed to show car battery life on mine does not light up. Not sure any of my Spectrum remotes I have ever owned even had this as an option. I like that it has a the thumb stick for single handed driving. I like that I can control the lights. I like that it has a switch for overall speed (low, medium, and high). I like that you can turn the gyro on/off from the remote, but there is no way to make adjustments for how sensitive it is. The gyro does work. While I do like that the remote comes with a rechargeable battery, be aware that is is a 18650 battery. While it is nice that a charger and battery were included, the charger is not great. There are no markings, just green and red light. I assume it is a balanced charge since it is charging through the balancer plug. Personally recommend investing in a smart charger that will ensure the lipo battery is being charged correctly for usage and when not in use. Overall I like this RC, it is a lot of fun. I will say I do not think it is a toy for kids. It is fast, and the instructions are not great so items may be difficult to figure out, but it is a lot of fun. ... show more
