The 1/14 scale RLAARLO ROG1 arrived quickly well packaged and ready to run out of the box . Included is a 2200 mah 3 cell battery and usb charger . The truck packs a punch with a 3600kv brushless motor and 45A ESC. The truck body shell is probably closer to 1/24 scale but the actual truck overall size including chassis and oversized wheels meets the 1/14 scale box description . The Rc is very well put together and feels a quality product worthy of hobby grade not cheap toy grade . The controller takes 4 AA batteries not included and fit easily in the handle of the controller . Nice controller with 4 channels with basic trim control for steering and throttle . Steering can be one handed with easy throttle trigger and steering wheel. Attaching body shell made easy with body pins that are nicely attached to body so they are not easily lost. Included is lots of decals to personalise your truck a wheelie bar and an alternative pinion gear to get the truck nearer that 100kph claim on the box. This thing is rapid and tackles uneven ground with ease .Nice LED light bar adds to the look plus scale details in the flat bed , fuel cans, fire extinguisher and boxes Alloy oil shocks all round means jumping is a must and this thing will guarantee a big smile . Instruction booklet with full parts breakdown . Rlaarlo Customer support and readily available parts will guarantee to keep the ROG1 going should you need that replacement part. This car is AWESOME! I've always loved RC cars, but I never had a "hobby grade" one before. The closest I had was a Red Arrow from Radio Shack. I thought it was very fast once I started using a 9.6v battery pack instead of the intended 7.2v pack. But the plastic gears kept stripping, and eventually the electronics died (probably because I was overloading it with too much power). Fast forward 25 years: I got this one, and I can't believe how fast it is right out of the box! I feel like a kid again, though this product clearly is not intended for children. If your kids are begging you to use it, please set the speed limiter to 25-50% (depending on their skill level). Even at 50%, it's faster than my beloved Red Arrow (with 9.6v pack). You really need a LOT of open space to use it at 100%. I brought it to a park and sent it flying over dirt mounds several times. It did more "somersaults" than I could count, but it held up like a champ. Eventually I ran it into a curb at almost full speed, and the only thing that broke was an upper link. The replacement part came in about 10 days. Very cheap and easy to switch out. Couldn't be happier with this RC!

I love this little RC car. It’s definitely fun for a beginner like myself. I do wish they had a bigger battery option to go with it as it takes a while for the battery to charge and you get maybe 20-30 minutes of drive time. It can take a beating as I have flipped it many many times and smacked into a few things (including myself). Very functional. Pretty darn fast. I think the overall value is good. If you get this I would recommend you get a few batteries so you can have a good hour of drive time. I did get this on sale so for that price it has been worth it.

The media could not be loaded. The ROG1 is the best 1/14th scale truck on the market. Not only does it look REALLY good, it also performs really good. It has many strengths and few weaknesses. The strengths include great top speed right out of the box. Mine hit 48 mph on the stock gearing and will likely hit 60 mph on the included speedrun pinion (I will update this review once I run it). Few budget RC trucks have adjustable motor mounts which is a great feature to have for speedruns – where this truck really shines! The truck also had droop screws which allows you to lower the ride height for improved on road handling. The adjustable tie rods let you dial in the alignment after lowering the truck and you have the perfect setup for not only good handling off road but also on road! It also has front and rear sway bars – a very nice touch The range for the transmitter is very good. It can easily go 700 feet (as far as I have tried to run it) and likely even further. The transmitter also has dual rate which is a must for speedrunning. Rlaarlo really thought of all of the most important features in this truck and somehow managed to put them in it even at its relatively low price! The body not only looks stunning but is also is fairly thick at this price point and has roof rails to protect it in case you flip it. Under the body, the good looks continue with a very intricate design with so many thoughtful features. It is easy to work on, includes hex hardware, and event he bottom of the chassis looks great with a cool design. The 45A ESC performed flawlessly and unlike many other budget RC’s, the brake modulation is very good. The oil filled shocks not only provide excellent dampening but also have adjustable spring rates. The drivetrain is all metal and very durable yet also includes a slipper clutch to help safeguard shock to the drivetrain. The included LIPO is VERY powerful and comparable to the performance of high end LIPOs from the best brands on the market. The small size lets you take it just about anywhere and makes its fast top speed seem even faster. The weakness of this truck? As it is only 1/14th scale, despite the very good suspension system and meaty off road tires, its off road capability is limited due to its small size. A truck like this is best suited for groomed off road use like on a baseball field. Running it on rough terrain isn’t ideal, especially with how fast this truck is. Other than that, it is hard to find complaints. If you are looking for a budget friendly RTR truck, you are not going to find a better all around option at this price point, especially if you enjoy speedrunning! Rlaarlo nailed it out of the park with this design.

This RC comes with a lot of impressive features for the price and looks cool but for some reason it doesn’t perform well on dirt tracks. It’s hard to keep it going straight, especially if you run it over 50% power. The suspension seemed nice out of the box but after a few laps the suspension wouldn’t rebound very well. It was squeaky and not fluid. I wish I would have paid extra to get a name brand buggy.
