The best, sunply out. Fast, accurate, easy, portable and water proof. I've gone through various POS thermos for my grill station, primarily thermo pro brand. I've ran through four different types this year all dying to various common kitchen occurrences (especially water.) this thermo maven has been dropped in the full sink, no issue, dropped into the grille, no issue, dropped into the floor, no issue. Used for meat, candying sugar, liquids, no issue. The best part is it turns off by itself and back on when picked up even if left open AND reads temp in under a second. I have only had ONE steak sent back, because the person ordered medium rare and sent it back because it was "bloody and now they can't eat at all"... YEAH OKAY. ... show more

Can't really give you a full review yet because I just opened the package today! But as of right now it is very nice takes one Triple A battery it comes with a screwdriver to open the back of the product. The Box even comes with a nice little QR code that you can scan and take you to more products from the same company. Very nice packaging. And it seems like right now that the instant read is very quick. As of right now on some of the faster sides of some of the other meat thermometers I have bought. Feels very heavy duty so I'm excited to see if it will survive me! ... show more

I got this to replace a another instantread thermometer that I'd used in my kitchen for years. After a replaicing it's coin cell for the 5 or 6th time it would not turn on properly. I also had another of this style that's in my travel bag for vacations. I had order another brand and after testin on my BBQ I found it changed temps too slowly. I has to remove meet from grill to get a reading, otherwise I'd burn my hand. My initial experence with the ThermoMaven F1 has convinced me I made the right choice. It's much faster than the last one I tried, I can easily get a quick reading, and see the temp reading much easier with the ThermoMaven F1, no burning of hand and I don't quesion the temp I get. In the attached image my travel thermometer it at the bottom and the one that changed too slowly is in the middle. The TermoMaven F1 at the top, it automaticaly changes th LCD reading based on orientation, and stays on if there is any movement, no extra buttons to navigate. It comes with a certificate saying it's temperature was factory certified (my ice water bath test, concluded it was accurate). I have no doubt its accurate. I also like the magnets on the back.
